Hopefully younger Buffy will get a better deal than what her older counterpart went through (though, life without Spike is plain misery in my humble opinion- lol). And she'll ditich Angel and Riley and find someone better. At least this way she'll get spared a lot of crap.
I kinda felt a tad sorry for Dawn, what with the Spike not knowing her. I mean yeah he'll take to her the exact same way, but that intense connection from summer before season six is gone. On the plus side, he doesn't remember her horribleness to him in season seven. So I guess it even outs.
Anyway, great story! Nice and light hearted and all that jazz. Can't wait for whatever you bring out next!

i always feel bad for the original spike in these kinds of fics... he dies and then gets replaced by a look alike while the original. the one who suffered all those years to prove himself to buffy, is left dead and most likely being tormented in hell for all eternity while some other guy gets the happily ever after spike so richly deserved

As much as I want to see Spike just go with Buffy to her dimension for the short and quick "happily ever after" I want to see both of them stick around at least long enough for the other Buffy to get the much needed wake up call about how she is and what she could be if she stopped letting herself be ruled by what everyone else thinks she should do.

     This was so exciting! I usually kinda skim over fight sequences, but this was too good.

I think Buffy trusting Spike broke whatever defenses Spike had left. She touched his heart, William in this chapter. This was intense chapter, and I loved it.

Oooh chip being removed early...had to happen cause with all the hoopla with Riley there's no way she could call him up in the future to have them remove the chip then. Awww he's starting to fall for her isn't he!? Question! Are you going to put some of the events from the actual show in here? I mean like Glory or Dawn...or will future Buffy not be staying that long? ah well. Great chapter! Shall continue to wait for the next.

And man is Spike ever haivng a good time sticking it to the Scoobies! It's hilarious watching him do it! It keeps making me grin. It's great to see him so happy.
Riley is a douche. I violently hate him- leave it to him to con his men into doing his dirty work. Jerk. Glad he got a verbal beat down (I'm rewatching season five at work, and we just got past Riley's vamp hos phase- I'm feeling some serious hate towards him at the moment).
You know what, I'm shocked that demons never went for revenge for Riley. If I was one of them whose family got caught by the inititave I've have been right on that. Guess demons on the show are better people than me. lol
And yay! He's gonna get the chip out! That makes me happy. Not only because he can defend himself and all that, but he can prove to those stupid morons that the demon doesn't control him. Being able to kill doesn't mean he will kill.

She had never seen him like this before: Spike’s thoughts and emotions had always been clearly visible on his face, even when she refused to see them. This cool, intransigent stillness made him a stranger.

Interestin.  Because of the change in her, there's a change in Spike - she's seeing parts of him she never saw before.  A learning experience for both of them.

Oh yeah, and really HOT!

so many great lines and scenes in one chapter.  for best line have to go with "take it then." great read, thank you.

Wow, thought the Scoobs were gonna explode. Riley really is pretty dim, despite being 4 years older he still thinks this Buffy is his Buffy. Whistler was pretty explicit when he told them she wouldn't be the same. Wonder why he brought Graham.

Wow - I'm loving this!  I have to say that any way of pushing the buttons of everyone other than Buffy and Spike has always been good.  It's great to have a combination of a grown-up Buffy who knows how mean she was to Spike and a Spike who hasn't yet realised he's in love with Buffy so isn't moony as he was sometimes is great.  I don't want young Buffy to come back!
I only have one problem - I'm going on holiday in 4 days time and I want the end of the story before I go...

I strongly suspect Buffy is going to have to put a beat down on Xander before he realizes she's serious; Giles maybe grew a clue in the graveyard, but Xander...*shakes head*  He's just too determined to make Buffy toe the line.

This is a great switch for the Buffy/Spike relationship and you're keeping Spike realistic and this Buffy in character. I love your stories, though sometimes I think Buffy is a little too stubborn about hating her friends, so I'm glad Joyce asked her to ease up on them. Buffy can still be firm enough not to accept any shit from them but remembering how they've wilingly risked their lives and been good people before to want to explain how they should change and not just tell them how they are is unacceptable.

Can't wait to see Spike resisting Buffy but falling in love with her anyway. And is Angel going to stick around? Can't wait for more!

I know this is written in advance, but I'm so happy with the way this is going! I like this Buffy. Pretty sure the others will try something stupid, even though she warned them.

Just blew through the first two chapters and had to say wow!  What a great beginning, and what a neat, original concept.  This Buffy is something else.  I love her take charge attitude.  And It's lovely to see Spike at this point in time - all snark and defiance.  I can't wait to read more of this.  You've got me hooked for sure.

Originally, I was going to skip over this story thinking it wasn´t up my ally.  However I changed my mind and am so glad I did.  I LOVED the first chapter.  The Buffy-champion in me loves stories where she gets the chance to assert herself with the Scoobies.  I´m not about character bashing, but Buffy standing up for herself again.  So looking forward to futureBuffy and her maturity messing with the minds of the pastScoobies, et al. lol 

And yeah, Buffy´s greeting of Spike was...HOT!  Off to read chapter 2. :)

OH MY FUCKING GOD!!!, *squeals like a teenage girl*. When I got a e-mail saying "There`s a new chapter on the bloodshedverse titled blah blah blah by dreamweaver" I screamed. My boyfriend was like "wtf?", lol. This was just perfect, the ending sentence was sooo yummy :D. Next chapter, here I come!

Couldn't have said it better. One of my biggest disappointments was how NOBODY had any problem with the "good guys" acting like they did when they knew Spike couldn't fight back.

I wanted to throttle your 'future' scoobies and Angel (though, loved how the 'present' one stood up for Spike, albeit grudgenly). Leave it to them to put what they think Buffy wants before what she actually wants. Loved when she flipped at them- took her freaking long enough. I would have kicked them to the curb long ago.
Wow are they ever in for a suprise. This Buffy is nothing like there's- I love how, in true fashion, Spike is the only one who expects her to be different. Scoobies are always in lala land aren't they?
And her greeting to Spike? AWESOME! I CANNOT wait for next chapter to see those reactions.
