...and then he drowned her? *hopeful eyes* No? Oh, all right then. :-P

And I just realized how odd that would look to anyone reading your reviews that doesn't get the joke, lol. "What?? She wants him to kill Buffy? What kind of Spuffy fan is she?"

I really do like Spuffy - and I like this Spuffy, and would not at all be opposed to them not dying horrible deaths! (But just this once.)
"And then he drowned her," indeed, LOL.  "Spike's arms tightened fractionally as he slowly pulled her under.  Buffy didn't struggle until it was too late because she wasn't expecting it..."

Don't worry people, nothing to see here!  Just a little in-joke.  Buffy lives, I assure you...

I would not at all be opposed to them not dying horrible deaths!

A high compliment indeed!

This was such a nice "feel-good" chapter.  It was nice to see Cordy, Welsey, and Fred again--and discover that Wesley had asked the Counsel to NOT do the Cruciamentum.  What a good friend he has been to her. So now Buffy is hung up on where Spike gets his money, huh?  Well, I guess they will continue to have issues to deal with the rest of their lives together, but what you did was show that their love and respect for each other is strong enough to get them through those disagreements.

And you did a lovely job of summarizing their relationship.  I'm surprised this wasn't the end of the story; it would have worked well as a finale...but I'm also glad to know that it isn't the end and there will be more to read!!!

Well, Wesley did withhold key points of information from Buffy at times, but he gets a point for asking the Council to consider not doing the Cruciamentum.  He almost says this in chapter 66, but Buffy, angry about something else, cuts him off.   Wesley: "I negotiated with the Council for you. I even—"   And this could have been the end of the story, but I felt weird ending it in LA.  I did want them to go back to LA, but it just didn't seem to be the right way to end it, since most of the story is about building their lives in Sunnydale.  I'm glad you liked the chapter, and thanks for reviewing!

Yay for the nice, sweet chapter. It was all cutesy.
Love that you brought Cordy back for a little bit. I've always been a fan of hers.
Can't wait for more.
Thank you!  I'm glad you liked seeing Cordy again!

Just lovely interlude but most of all I really loved the imagery of that last line.  Yes he may be following her lead but she is trusting him to take her to deep waters too.  Lovely!

Kathleen
Thank you so much!  I like the last line myself...  :)
