So bittersweet.  Poor Spike left alone feeling rejected and alone like never before!  Angel is not and never was her soul mate and she needs to realize that.  I hope Dawn uncovers something soon.

Love this story.  It fits their characters so very well.  I feel sorry for Katie but that is why I can never write Spike with someone else as long as Buffy is alive...it just doesn't work that he could fully love another while Buffy is on the earth, it does not ring true to character and you've captured that so well here.
