Great chapter and I liked the way you weaved Buffy into the scene. Also loved Spike being rude. :)
Oh, thanks! I figured Buffy would be a bit behind the vampires, so she couldn't reasonably get there at the beginning of the fight, but the girl does know how to make an entrance, you know?

Okay queen of mixed signals. First that night meant something but she doesn't know what. Then she kisses Angel. Then she says she loves Spike. Now she says their friends. Spike my boy one word of advice RUN!!! Run fast, run far and don't look back. (Joking, slightly) I was so hoping she was gonna put that stake through Angel's other shoulder!
Well, to be fair, it was Spike that glomed onto the "friends" remark. Buffy said that they are more than that, but he's not ready to listen. She's gonna have to work through those defenses if she wants to make her point, methinks.
Weirdly, Buffy is fonder of Angel than you or I. Go figure. I was just happy she wasn't all "oh you poor baby" with him. Pfft.
