very much enjoying reading this again - I like your strong and clear thinking Buffy and I like how you have her clarified that she first needed the shock and transformation from her death to realize how much control of her life she had given over to others nor that she would have been ready, perhaps never, to acknowledge that Spike was changing and that their was great potential for a great relationship with him.
