Facing both of the people whom they thought they love above all else, they come to realize that it was no longer true. Spike and Buffy are the real thing. Hope Cordy's appearence beens that this test is over as well. Great job.

Oh man ... what a place to leave it. I hope that your muse feels inspired to continue this one. I still love reading it, and I am trying to catch up on the BSV stories. Awesome chapter. I wonder why Cordy is there, and why Dru is lying on the couch. I wonder about human Spike. So many questions. I look forward to the answers.

Now THAT was an unexpected ending to the chapter *G*.
Love Willow starting to see what Spike always has, there is not much difference between Angel and Angelus at all.
I am dying to find out the Powers real plan here. I agree with Willow that their insistance upon Angel as their champion is (and was on the show) crazy! He was convenient at best.

*evil grin* Glad you enjoyed! I wish more people had seen the distinction on the show - Angel went totally evil as Angelus; Spike was maybe a little more fangy. He was - other than the wonky moral compass - almost human even when the big bad, probably having a lot to do with the fact that he made lasting relationships which appeared to be based on equality. At least, that's what I saw. Anyhoo - thanks for reading and reviewing; I hope to clarify things further very soon. :)

I really enjoyed Spike’s reaction to being human and around all his favorite foods. :D And now Cordy’s there, I can’t wait to find out why. Thank you for the update, I really enjoyed it.

Cliffie - check, my bad. :) I can't seem to help myself. The story is definitely about Spike and how important he is, but I don't want to give too much away. Everybody needs to find their place. I always find smells particularly evocative, transporting you back to a memory or a place so that's why that's in there. And yes, Cordy will be talking to Spike...in the next chapter that is up tonight. Sorry for the delay, had a lot to deal with in RL but hopefully I'm back on track now. Many thanks for following and enjoying this story and for such wonderful comments, much appreciated.

I'm so pleased you like how I 'do Dru'. She's a fascinating character and very addictive. I'm not a fan of Spru personally, but I can see the attraction of such a couple purely from the intense relationship between them. Still, I'm a Spuffy girl, through and through. Thanks for the review, much appreciated. Next chapter up tonight and I hope you continue to enjoy.
