So I just found this story, and I'm enthralled; amazing start; and gotta say, I'm with Buffy; can't believe in a world where SPike doesn't love her. Moving on to the 2nd chapter now, and hope it's as good as the first!

I like the story line in the chapters that you have put up, but I really am not feeling the way its written in first person.

excellent story penny. At first I wasnt quite sure about the present tense, but once Dawn, then Buffy started talking it worked out very nicely. I'll be very interested to see what you do with wicked no soul no chip Spike.

My heart breaks for Buffy. Kind of like Angelus all over again isn't it? She already lost Spike, to maybe have to kill him with her owns hands this time ... I think, after that, I'd just give up on love altogether. o_O

Sorry, I don't buy Dawn still caring about Spike anywhere near as much as Buffy does. Their friendship pretty much went by the wayside as soon as Buffy came back from the dead--the death knell being when she found out about the rape attempt.

Oh and Drusilla's eyes are blue not brown.

Nitpicks aside, I'm very much liking this fic. Turning out to be darker than your average Spuffy fic. Good stuff.

Welcome to BSV. This looks like a very good fic. I like for Buffy doing the chasing and groveling for a change, this should be fun. Hope you can update regularly, thanks.

Poor Buffy. Lately i have been sympathizing with Buffy a lot. I know that in the tv episodes she is a "super bit#@" to Spike. I still think she is using Spike toward the end to accomplish her mission, that's low.. Anyway, what happened to Spike? Why running to Dru? Brainwashed? Dru is definitely a whore to Angelus and other demons, why bother? Anyway keep going.
You know, I find the more I work with the BTVS characters, the more I find myself sympathizing with Buffy. Thank you for your interest in the fic!

oh man...i think the breath got sucked right out of me right along with buffy, at the shocking reaction he had to seeing her again...what's the matter with him??? im so scared for both of them, you've really managed to evoke a mood with this, and i'm looking forward to reading more :)
I'm glad you've had such a strong reaction with this! I tried to be particularly aware of mood when I was writing this, so it's excellent to hear that. Thanks for your comments! :)

very unique & intriguing storyline! Tho, i'm having a bit of a difficulty understanding how buffy could just keep her cool like that. He just treated her like shit, ripped a rug out from under her and threw it all in her face, WHILE parading Dru around. And she says, 'see you later?'

Either I missing something, or she very obviously has never had ANY type of friendly feelings towards him at all and really did lie when saying sha loved him. So then, if thats the case, why find him? Simply to kill him?

Very interested in reading more! ;)
Well, she tries to play it cool in front of Spike and Dru, but the second she walks down that hallway, the hurt definitely catches up to her.

Thanks for the comments and interest!

One chapter, and I'm hooked already. Unique plot and good writing? This one's for me. Eagerly awaiting more.
Glad to hear it! And thank you so much for the comments. I'll have that second chapter up soon.

Don't see a lot of first person narratives these days, but you've got it down pat. This is a good plot, because Spike isn't just his old evil self with amnesia, he remembers loving Buffy, and that makes it so much more heartbreaking. Looking forward to more!
Thank you, I'm glad that you like the narrative. First person Buffy is the mode that comes most naturally to me. Even when I try writing third person, all of a sudden I find myself using the first with her. It's bizarre. Thank you for your comments! The next chapter will be out soon :)
