I guess things will have to get worse before they get better.

Ah, she admits it...well, she's kinda right. If he was a normal man, then they could wait for the organic return of his memories, but he isn't and wasn't, and he deserves the truth.

Nice that Spike found someone to connect to on his level...it's lonely feeling so out of your depths, like coming into a giant inside joke, except it isn't a joke here, it's his life.....and they keep denying him the only thing he craves. Knowledge.

Miz Herself, I love the story. I am scared to read cos something "bad" might happen--okay like being a vamp and a slayer doesn't sorta fall into that box. So, I guess what I'm saying is write--I'll read--yes I understand there are no guarantees. You might have guessed by now, it's kinda good what you're doing. I am one of those major romantics--I do so want happy endings--like people in really warm climates want ice water. Thanks for all your hard work!!

In a way she is failing him by selfishly keeping him in the dark about his past, their past. Though I doubt that what's she means. Like that Spike finally got a chance to feel normal, like someone's equal with Bakhita. Really wish they would just let Willow try to fix him already!

Poor Buffy; I can only imagine how she feels; Spike won't be happy without his memories, but she fears he won't want her anymore with his memories, but he WANTS his memories, and around and around we go!!! Awesome chapter; can't wait to read more; please, more soon???

This fic is so deep and so very written. Hope you're not turning Spike into William, are you?

Nice idea to have him be able to develop separate relationships. I like the idea that Giles is actually reasonable in this story. Looking forward to seeing WIlliam in true Watcher Tweed. Thanks!

Loved Spike's interactions with the other slayer. Such a wonderful story, I hope Buffy will be more forthcoming for Spike's sake.

Depending on where you take this... I think Buffy is frustrated.. trying to keep secrets about the "bad" of their relationship. And befuddled that he is not under her control .. to be the Spike he was and wants him to be.

And Spike, uncovering parts of him that he hid before, and developing relationships like with the Slayer he hurt.. with a calmness and a sense of purpose... gone is his previous all encompassing desire for Buffy's love.

The tables seem to be turned.
