The matriarchy of the  Aurelians is going to put Buffy at an unknowing advantage.  Dru spelled it out for her, but she probably hasn't put it all together yet.

I love the little hints you've dropped that neither party will find the other's world as distastful as they imagine, once they get around to actually tasting. The fresh air and matriarchy intrigue Buffy, the music and technology appeal to Spike, and it's only been one day. I'm sure they'll find many other surprising and satisfying cultural exchanges as they go along. Such as, ". . . all he had to look forward to was a dutiful rut with the fragile little earthling." And he thinks she has no idea!

I love your truly inventive way of pitting them against each other as enemies that have to make the best of a tough situation. Remarkable glints of Spike's devotion to do Droosilla's (hoot!)bidding. Buffy's "I'm tired" bitchiness. I'm cracking up with mirth and loving the tension at the same time. Really interesting writing and I'm truly looking forward to updates!

I remember reading this (at least this far) on the LJ and lost track of it. I can't tell you how delighted I am that you are posting it here. I have thought of it often and enjoyed rereading up to here and can't wait for more. This is so original!
