Here muse...let it be known that with gentle stroking of the muse there might be a glorious outcome known as inspiration and the delight of a new chapter to read.  Soothe...stroke...good muse.

Great update.  Love how you've incorporated Dawn and Tara into the fabric of the story.  Just like Spike to help her even when he's certain that he doesn't like her.  Then your last line, about her not being human, open mouth, insert foot.  Can't wait to see how you take the story next!

Spike's struggle to get Buffy mended and well was wonderfully detailed, as was his melancholy surety that they were both going to die. Dawn being cast as Spike's sister is inspired.  I loved her attacking him, shaking him out of his death bed.

So now it turns out both mother's died as a result of this war.  What a lot of baggage these two have.  You're believably, subtly having them soften toward one another.  It's very entertaining.

Oh wonderful update.  Good that Buffy is seeing this "enemy" in a domestic setting...he and his sister are precious together.  Tarah is another new view of these people.  This is delightful. 

SO there is a bond already that ties them...interesting!

Sorry, anyway, very good chapter! I like that Dorn is Spike's sister - always had a better brother-sister bond than Buffy and Dawn anyway. All goodness.

All I can say about this story is - MUST WRITE CHAPTERS FASTER!!!

I think they're starting to respect each other, or at least realize that they need each other. Buffy likes Spike a little bit for taking care of her, and he'll see her as more than just a human. Once again, great job! As always, I'm eagerly anticipating the next chapter.
