I love this Buffy who gives zero fucks what anyone else wants for her or from her. There were so many times in canon that I just wanted her to tell people to back off or go to hell when they were making demands of her. Even with family ad friends, being the slayer is probably lonely and I think part of the appeal of Spike is that it means she does not have to be because he accepts part of the burden. I love the ending to this, the idea that her goal all along was the claim so she could use his protective instincts to get him to protect himself.

I love your works of fiction!!! They are bloody brilliant and how I've dreamed things would end since Joss fucked over our sweet Spike! Epic without being a million chapters long, the perfect pick-me up after a long night

I never read these--time travel is too much work with the what ifs--this story though and the follow-up are both so very delightful, sexy, and yes, you've made love of them, with them--Buffy with balls is awesome and as she should be--Spike accepting his tender side and being a bad boy--excellent combo!

Ya know, I thought that I liked "His Way" a lot, and I really really did!!!  But "Her Way"  knocked me out of my chair!!!  This was a fantastic little story!!!  Any chance of a sequel??? Watching all the Scoobies spazzing out would be so much fun, and finding out that they can't guilt trip or manipulate Buffy anymore would be the most fun of all!!!  :D

This story is fantastic! I loved the new take on the going back in time theme. Is there any more to this story? Maybe when the scoobies find out, or on Angel trying to fix Drusilla?

That was brillant!  A really wonderful retelling of the events and of Buffy fighting for Spike.  I love that you didn't character bash anyone either in order to make this story work.  It was so wonderful to see Buffy so confident and go after what she wanted.  Thanks for posting.
