The cruel back story of Buffy's sexual experience explains a lot. Fracturing Parker's pelvis would put a girl off sex, but it couldn't have happened to a bigger sleaze.
Spike lighting the flame and just letting Buffy's libido smolder was lovely, and it paid off in the sensual lake scene. It was romantic and erotic and you believably brought them together. I thought they were on the road to a real relationship, so the attack was a complete surprise.
I can't wait to read more of this entertaining story.

Felt the need to give Buffy some emotional baggage to add to the awkwardness between them, so I just called up one of the usual suspects - since Angel is off limits. Makes the Spuffy loving sweeter I think. Am old enough - and old-fashioned enough to want the seeds of a proper relationship to grow between them as well as lust. but that might just be me. Spike is definitely the experienced one here so yes he is taking advantage at this stage, but perhaps that's what she needs. thanks for the review Brunettepet.

Oh my GOD! What a place to leave it; you evil, evil thing! Please, you have to update soon, I'm dying to see what happens next! Absolutely love the way the relationship between them is blossoming; can't wait to see if Buffy will trust in Spike through this new revelation! Hurry hurry hurry!

wow! i started to read this fic today and i love it!!!! the story is great and very well writen it really got me, i couldn't stop reading till the last chapter!! i love the characters and their stories.... i think it's a really good job!!! so keep going i wanna know what happens next!!

Noooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! That was a very good cliffhanger, and I desperately want to know what happens. Will Buffy have to leave? How long until she figures out that Spike asserted his dominance? Spike was very clever in tricking her into that and getting her all hot and bothered. I need more! (and nice touch with the Parker thing. He deserved it, and Buffy needed more than him.)
Yep - even souled he's still not that noble - but then its early days in their relationship still. Parker? well he deserves everything he gets as I'm sure you'll agree. Thank you Ber MH.

Not the ending of the consummation that I was expecting. The plot is back on.

I love the way the chapter flowed, bringing them slowly together. Spike obviously had alterior, physical motives at the beginning, but the way you had him slowly 'see' her as a person, an equal, a woman was very believable and beautiful. He was very patient with her, yet teased her enough that she just couldn't resist him anymore - and let's face it, who would want to resist him?! :)
But the end!! You are wicked! You can't leave us hanging like that for long, please!!!

Honestly didn't know if I was moving too fast or too slow there. Glad you liked it anyway. Close to (writing) the end of the next chapter - am going to be upping the suspense though. sorry.
