I love your characterizations of Darla and Dru. With Dru going on and on and Darla turning her back on her. Could see it clearly in my mind.
And it's nice to see Spike and Buffy doing the domestic thing. I like how they are evolving slowly.

A lovely chapter. I like the interaction between Buffy and Spike, with him making all the 'boyfriend' moves, while she just follows along. Isn't that how it so often goes?

Dang I forgot that Dru named that dog Snshine in canon (hum...interesting thought there...she handed it over to Spike to eat but he just pet it...never though of that before!). But back to your yummy story....
Love the domestic compatibility going on, they are actually nesting in a way...cute! Love his hand over her shoulder in the store. Nice way of announcing even to Buffy if she caught it correctly.
The whole entering through the window (or offer to break in) was a hoot because he clearly had never considered just knocking or ringing the bell LOL. Such a vampire.

Hehe, Dru with the dog in season 2 was so funny! Though we never found out what happened to it. I think she was holding it when Angelus started the ritual in Becoming... I like to think it ran away and found a nice home. Though I'm not sure my Sunshine/Molly will fare so well...
