Spike did not realize that Buffy was all engrossed in a memory of a particular time with not factoring of future events. I'm thinking Buffy will be pretty devastated when all her memories are meshed together again.
Everything is very hard for her right now. But it will get better, promise :)

Wow trauma on trauma -- it's agonising. Well done.
Thanks. This is about as angsty as this is gonna get, I think. I'm not actually a huge fan of angst, but this scene is driving something like five different plot points.

Just now catching up on this and didn't take the time to review every chapter. Loved the drinking scenes between Giles and Spike. Love that Buffy was letting him take care of her. Want Willow boiled in oil. And hope Buffy gets over cutting off her nose to spite her face soon enough to do Spike some good. Wonderful angst in this chapter.

Oh, Willow... that idea turned out so well for you, didn't it? Unfortunately, it screwed things up for absolutely everyone else!
