I knew the fighting was a bad idea, although I can see why Buffy might think it would help. Too much too soon. Giles was surprising - I hope it's not a cunning ploy of some sort.

I've just found this fic and have read it through from the beginning. I can't wait to find out what happens next. I really like the Spike/William duality that is coming out. But no tweed, please! :)

First, I have to say I've found myself becoming more engrossed in this fic with every new chapter. Just when I think I'm gonna be reading more of the same Buffy defending Spike that is so prevalent in this story you throw something unexpected at me. Spike hurting that slayer is a great example! Second, I think BSV is a great place for you to be posting. Strictly as a reader it it the first place I check for new fics and updates of what have become some of my favorite fics. I really love the quality and community here! Also, those of us who enjoy leaving feedback don't expect individual replies. I just like to know once in a whle tha you're reading and enjoying it!

I sat down and read this story from start through, well, here. I've really enjoyed it and I can't wait to see where you're going with it.

Liked the conversation between Giles and Spike - I'd think Giles would tell Spike whatever he wanted to know and maybe some things he didn't

Wow - romantic nights in the woods, a bit of the Big Bad and another meltdown that leaves a slayer injured. And Giles is being reasonable. This chapter had it all. :)

"Hello my darlings" damn, chile, now that rocked me right back in my chair--if I had been in that room I think I would have burst into fearful tearfuls. Spike/William--I'm trusting you to take this story where it needs to go--it's so unusual that I am really in a fog as to what might be coming and that's part of the delight of this experience. I am enjoying reading the careful phrases you write--man you can laser some spots so crisply. Good words good words--more please, as you will or can.

Then his shoulders rolled, neck curling. He stepped forward with a smile. "Hello my darlings"

That line gave me goosebumps; awesome chapter; so scared of what Spike is going to think when he comes back to himself and finds the way they've treated him; it's almost as bad as the way they treated him previously; now that he has no memory, they treat him like one of the Scoobies; he's going to wonder why they couldn't do the same when he returned with his soul... Poor Spike; can't wait to see what happens next; excellent chapter!!!

The threat of the return of his memory is always there, looming. Will it come, I wonder? I have been checking for updates of this story most days - and have been happy to so frequently find a new chapter - thanks for your hard work!

Spike's new persona. I like it.. but I have always preferred Spike over a whimpy William anyday.

But I like this Spike.. apprehensive but a man trying to control and understand his demon.
And preferring a different set of clothing should make Buffy realize that this is not the same Spike and unless something traumatic happens I can't see him changing direction..

Your choice of course.. since you are the Author.. just a guess.
