SUMMARY: Response to Challenge #3 by Shehrezade - Post Chosen and The Girl in Question Spike ditches Angel in Rome and goes after Buffy.

This story begins five years after NFA. The new Angel Investigations gets a new client that threatens to tear the team's world apart. There is action, drama, a few killings, slayings and your basic brutality. There's also love and sex. Be prepared, though. Spike has relationships with others besides Buffy. But it's a Buffy/Spike story, I promise.

In the summer between seasons 3 and 4, a heartbroken Buffy finds a bit of compassion in an unexpected place. Written for the Livejournal community Spuffy Wonderland's 2010 Art-to-Fic challenge. Banner by the incredibly talented Xaphania.
