Set in Post Chosen

Ok, really this is gonna be EASY for ALL of you because this is a challenge that I'm making for me that you all get to help with.

Its simple.

What I'm challenging you guys to do is this: GIVE ME A SONG to write around.

Right now, I'm currently working on a song by Dave Mathews Band - Crash Into Me (look up the lyrics - its a great song) and part one of this song has been posted. Parts 2 & 3 are in beta atm.

This song is receiving 4 spinoff ficlets, each involving a seperate pairing, but all revolving around the lyrics of the song.

I think Always_jbj said that my muse was hanging out and having drinks with hers so I need something to get me through until she meanders her way back home and sobers up a bit.

Anyhoo...looooong winded explanation, so gimme songs (please - including who it's sung by) and if you want, gimme your favorite pairings and lemme know if strictly smut, porny with plot, or even an actual *gasp* BtVS story and I'll write a ficlet for you.

Oh! And one more thing. If you e-mail me your request, please, in the subjectline put 'BSV Challenge' or something along those lines as I have my spam filters set high and I dont want to accidently delete a request from someone although posting here is perfectly fine as well

hmmm...have you heard that "let's go mets" song about the new york mets?  I can't help it...this song just amuses me and I think I'm going to become a Mets fan JUST on the basis of this song.  If you haven't heard it and want me to send it to you, I can, just tell me how you want it sent.

How about "Don't Think Twice (it's all right)"?  I think Bob Dylan wrote it, but the version I have is sung by Peter, Paul and Mary.  Spike/Buffy would be my choice for a pairing.

I always thought "Uninvited"  by Alanis Morissette would make a great song fic. i have always been a Spuffy shipper, but I also like Ganya. Here are the lyrics

You tube is definately a great place for song fic musing.  I personally like Nickleback's 'Far Away' and Evenescence 'Before the Dawn'.

How about "My Immortal" by Evanescence?? I adore that song, and it makes me think of Spuffy most times when I hear it (unless it's making me think of more personal memories lol)...i'd love to see a sweet, sad, haunting sort of fic on this one...

Okies...working on these songs right now...I'll get them smacked up as soon as I can find a beta for them...anyone willing to be mine?? I like the idea someone had (forgot whom) that English writers should try out a British beta so if any of you proper speaking English speakers would like to give it a go, please by all means...although being a Brit is NOT a must. Another Yank would be just fine.

Pearl Jam's "Black" has angsty Spuffy written all over it, the song has many references to her being  a "sun" to his darkness

Ooooh, i just got a new one! i'm listening to this soulful, pretty country ballad "Bring It On Home" by Little Big Town... if you dont know it i can get lyrics...but it's all about bringing everything that's burdening you and bringing it to the one who loves you at the end of the day...makes me think of buffy coming to spike that sixth season...i'd love to see a touching, tender fic from this song
