BSV Forum - General - Conventions James Concert in London - May 2, 2008 Yep, I'm gonna be there... hanging out with SpikesDeb. *grin* Anyone else going/thinking of going? 1 Jan 13 2008 06:33 am #4TammyDevil666 I would if I wasn't broke and didn't live so far away, but he's really awesome live. I'm just lucky that I at least got to see him once. I never thought I would get the chance. 1 Oh, man. I'd go to London just for the hell of it, but seeing James there, too? Such temptation... Tickets are available online, for anyone who plans to go. 1 Hmm, tempting. I live nearby, so it would be easy to reach, and the tickets themselves aren't all that much. Don't really know his music that well though - anyone know how I could listen to some of it, to work out what I think? 1 Jan 13 2008 06:35 pm #7Guest Jess, you can listen to some of his music on youtube. Some of the songs that I like best are London City, Up On Me, Fall of Night, Layabout, Looking at You, Birth of the Blues, Don't Worry Son, Like A Waterfall. So, I would just type in "James Marsters Up On Me" or whatever song you want to hear on youtube. That is what I do. Although, I have both of his albums. But I still like to hear the songs live. I would love to see James Marsters live. Maybe one day I will. Thanks, Guest, whoever you are! Will do that, and decide if I can justify going, or if it would just be shameless ogling. On the other hand, is there a better justification than shameless ogling? 1 Another thing to consider - both Union Chapel gigs have been among JM's best as a solo artist, so three is probably also a charm. And I've been told the venue has pretty good acoustics and sound. As long as the man doesn't injure his dang hand again, it should be a very entertaining gig. 1 Seems like I will be there for both :) Was at the last union chapel gig and it he was great. 1 | |||
