"Fake" Dawn

Just wondering if anyone ever wondered about this before.  With Dawn (and everyone's fake memories), when do you think she found out about Buffy being the Slayer?  That night in Becoming?  Or did nosy little sis figure it out before that?  Or maybe Joyce and Buffy still kept it from her and she found out later?  I'm leaning toward in Becoming.

Some how I think she knew before, she talks about sitting on the stairs when she was suppost to be in bed, in but the think is she was young should there not have been a babysitter. OH well I would imagine she read Buffy diaries, cause Buffy commented that Dawn always did.

There's also a story Dawn tells about putting chopsticks in her mouth like fangs, and Buffy would chase her around like she was a vampire. That sounds like a pretty juvenile pastime, so I would guess that Dawn was fairly young. She would've been about ten when Buffy was called, and twelve in Becoming.

Hmm, I'd forgotten about that chopstick line.

I think the title of that episode is The Real Me, or at least this is the episode where Dawn in writing in her diary - and Dawn does know that Buffy is The Slayer - the monks would have created Dawn with the knowledge that her protector was The Slayer to insure that Dawn looked to Buffy as not just a sister but as her first line of protection.

Well, she obviously knew at the point she was *actually* created, because Buffy's not trying to hide it from Joyce anymore. But since the implanted memories have already happened, there'd be no need for Dawn to look at Buffy as her "protection" when she was younger - it's not like she can get killed in her fake history before she existed.
