a spuffy fic of course but one with spike/dawn friendship

any suggestions?

If I can pimp myself *glances around furtively for spies*  I have two that have a lot of Spike/Dawn friendship in them.  The first one is Undivided  -  http://www.bloodshedverse.com/stories.php?go=chapters&no=8205  which was a fic for banner fic in which one of the requirements was S/D friendship; the other is To Fix What's Not Broken - http://www.bloodshedverse.com/stories.php?go=chapters&no=3655 , which was written for Dawn month at something or other. Turned Spuffy, of course. 

If you don't mind a WIP, I always think of the Spike + Dawn friendship in Mary's "Journey" series. It's a wonderful way of showing Dawn and Spike interacting in the family sense, and they are very close due to shared grief, and has lots of Spuffy luvin'. *G* It's sweet to see them together, especially visiting Joyce's grave together.

There are so many Spuffy fics that feature a good Spike/Dawn friendship that it's hard to know where to start!  Here are some that spring instantly to mind...

Hee - I was just going to mention the Blood series because the Spike/Dawn dynamic is so important there.  Actually, I would say any good series or story that deals with more that just Spike and Buffy alone will probably have some Spike-Dawn friendship in it.

Aw, man, Always_jbj took one of my favorite stories:  Spike's Will Be Done is awesome and long.  It is quite choice.

But, ahem, if I could I would like to suggest the beyond-incomparable "Forward to Time Past."  It is a longer fic, and due to its nature as a time travel piece, the Spike/Dawn friendship is in the last ten chapters or so.  Still, the story leading up to where the Spike/Dawn friendship comes in is one of my personal favorites.

Also, I saw this one, but I forgot the name of it.  Anyway, Spike is letting Dawn tag along, and they end up stealing Clairol from a convenience store.  I don't know why, but I just think of that as so Spike-and-Dawn.
