Season 5 discussion - you know you want to

Okay - we sluffed off most of the summer.  It's time to smack down on Season 5, which rates very high on the Spuffy Radar.  Spike falls in love; Riley gets vamp sucked and blows town, Anya's Troll husband shows up, Buffy and Spike go on a date, Lydia Chalmers takes notes for her next thesis; Joyce croaks and the Buffybot blazes onto the scene.  Also, Glory has some really great shoes.

Here's the whole list of episodes.  Let's have some pix.  Personally - Buffy v Dracula is one of my favorites.  Scarlet - help me out here.

  1. Buffy vs. Dracula
  2. Real Me
  3. The Replacement
  4. Out of My Mind
  5. No Place Like Home
  6. Family
  7. Fool For Love
  8. Shadow
  9. Listening To Fear
  10. Into The Woods
  11. Triangle
  1. Checkpoint
  2. Blood Ties
  3. Crush
  4. I Was Made To Love You
  5. The Body
  6. Forever
  7. Intervention
  8. Tough Love
  9. Spiral
  10. The Weight of the World
  11. The Gift

I would only vote "Buffy vs. Dracula" because it brings up some interesting points on what makes a slayer.  Also, it's the first time we see Dawn.  I think that should definitely make the list.

"Fool for Love" definitely, "The Replacement," "Out of My Mind," "Blood Ties"......

Okay, let's start again.  How about the ones we definitely wouldn't want to touch?

Here are the ones I would personally not want to discuss: Real Me, Triangle, I Was Made to Love You...

However, I think each ep offers something, even if it's a small something, of insight into one of the characters.  I almost want to say "What the Hell?" and discuss them all, though I think that some eps will allow shorter threads than others.  But hey, what else are we going to do?  :P

Great to see that we are starting up the discussions again - was just about to suggest that we get back to them.

I would suggest we start with Buffy vs Drac  just to get started - First episodes of the season is always super important and I would also like to discuss each episode - all are related to the season arcs.  This is a great season for major development of all the characters and especially the Buffy-Riley-Spike relationship.  The importance and interest in each episode seems to automatically set the threads.   Watching all the episodes, after all this time, has to bring in some new insights.
