There are plenty of times when I want a certain type of fic and I can only find a few using vague words summary searches or categories of the season. Seeking-Spike is a wonderful search community for any specific fic, but the sister community Find Buffy Recs is barely ever answered. I thought, with the large number of dedicated fans and readers who reply so often on this community, we could start a thread to share recs and titles of fics for a very general category that are hard to search for.

Right now I'm really in the mood for some fics where Buffy meets vampire Spike before she becomes the Slayer, and I hope somebody can share a few titles!

The only pre-series fic I can think of right now is Future Childe by Ariel Dawn. Spike meets Buffy in LA before she's a Slayer, then it goes into an AU season 2. It's one of my favorite fics. The sequel, Present Childe, is really good too. I believe that one starts with the summer between seasons 2 and 3, then continues with AU seasons 3 and 4.

You mean in addition to Sideways? Which is a wonderful wip on this site.  Also, there is a series by Verity Watson (Meet the Pratts is the first one) on this site in which Buffy never is the slayer. But Spike is very much a vampire.  Wonderful series.

Amnesia Spuffy!

Alright, I'm getting desperate. I remember spending forever looking for this fic and never finding it months ago, then being distracted. Now I remember it, I'm falling back into the same frenzy of trying to find it, so I'm posting this bit again. I am looking for two stories that are very similar but I would be happy just to find one of them! Simply put, Buffy and Spike are working together in both. Buffy gets total amnesia, not just a few years but her whole life is gone, she can't remember anything. Spike is the one with her at the time or when she wakes up. He convinces her that they are married or newlyweds and they leave town before anyone could tell Buffy differently. I keep mixing up details so I won't put any more in there, but any fic with this premise I know I'd enjoy, whether Spike is being sweet and wonderful or a lascivious fiend. Please recognize it, somebody!

Black Widow is an excellent short fic. Dark, but with a happy ending. The Ballad of Randy and Joan is also wonderful. Again, dark, but so well done. I don't think I've read Disenchantment (or I've forgotten the title - always a possibility), but I would assume it is good.

Just finished Legions of True Hearts by Eurydice, and loved it. Besides Forward to Times Past, could you guys please reccomend some fics where Buffy meets William, but with Spike involved too, as a vampire. Thanks!

The closest I can come, right off the top of my head, is the ficlet that was the inspiration for Legions. It's A Cricket for California and the author's name just escaped from my brain while I was typing. Damn!  It's on All About Spike, anyway. *sigh*

Herself's Bittersweet series has a several stories in which Buffy goes back and meets William. Quite a bit happens and William even eventually makes an appearance in the modern world for a little while. You might try that series and look for the ones where Buffy goes back in time.  Sorry, that's all I can think of ATM.

Another good Buffy meets William fic is Only Time Will Tell, by dampersandspoons. I don't think she's on the BSV, but I know of this one on Elysian Fields. I really recommend it.

Buffy meets William in a bizarre way in LilacHigh's excellent Strip Snap.  One of my personal favorites
