Dragon Ball is the story of a young man and his friends who fight together to save the earth using Dragon Balls. 

The dragon has seven balls and Piccolo (James) wants to use them as he sees fit.

The balls are not that big, roughly the size of a soup bowl, but big enough for James to put his hands around them in a tight, firm grip.

 

If Piccolo manages to get all the Dragon Balls together, their combined power will cause them to glow and splurt out all of their power to release the Dragon within, granting Piccolo three juicy wishes.

 
Only by having all the Dragon Balls can Piccolo achieve what he truly desires.

Honestly, I think the film is going to be complete crud.. Not to mention James is going to be wearing so much make up that you don't even know it's him.
Stephen Chow (producer) is great and all but I don't think he has much power over the film.

Well, you can't really know something is going to be crud, until you see it for yourself.  I won't make any judgements until then, but not being a fan of Dragon Ball myself, I'll probably end up liking it since I don't have the series to compare it to.  I just don't know yet if I care to see it at the theaters.

One, unless you've seen the movie, you really don't know if it's going to be good or not.  From the trailers I've seen, it looks like it'll be good.  And second, you can tell it's James.   It's no harder than knowing it's him in vamp makeup from the Buffy days.

Totally agree with you - there is no problem being able to see James Marsters in the Piccolo character - I think he looks great - but I hope that he appears with a greater green tint than this photo shows -

Definitely awaiting the arrival of Dragonball!   Scarlet, the pix on your web page are awesome and foo on the critics. 

Scarlet, given the huge controversy over the pics in question, I am making the decision to remove your post from the forum--if people really want to see the pics I am sure they will find them.  I just don't think it is a good idea to have the BSV getting caught up in this too.

I don't think there is anything wrong with showing the one you were given at the con, so I am just removing the link to the others.

A good call, I think.  Takes us out of the picture (no pun intended).  I was afraid they might be referring to us when they talked about "other boards" or "forums". Probably not, but better safe than sorry. It's not a reputation we want to have.
