I thought it was one of Maryperk's, but apparently not. I think it's season 4 or possibly early season 5 as some of the action takes place in Giles flat. It's definitely Spuffy. Buffy & Spike have got together... I can't remember how (the main reason I want to read it again).  Angelus turns up for some reason and sometime during his stay Xander gets turned. Jumping to the end: They are both given their souls back and Angel agrees to take Xander back to LA with him to keep an eye on him and teach him how to be a souled vamp. Xander as a new vamp isn't very nice and is convinced that now he's a vamp he has a realistic chance with Buffy as she has a 'vampire fetish'. He molests her (think 'The Pack') which she forgives, but as soon as he threatens Spike she dusts him without a second thought. I've looked at all the archives I can think of but without a better idea of the beginning of the story I'm stumped... and nobody has a category 'VampXander'!

Hmm, could that possibly be one of slaymesoftly's fictions?  The one I'm thinking of I remember Xander was turned, but the whole story wasn't just about that, so I could be thinking of something else.  Titles escape me at the moment.

ETA  maybe vamp Xander is something Dia should add to the proposed tags?

I was just thinking about that fiction the other day, so it was fresh in my mind...lol!  I've been rereading a lot of your fictions lately.  I'll have to do the same with that one, it's always been one of my favorites.

Thank you! Yes, that's the one. I just love it! It was strange that only the very end part with VampXander stuck in my mind and I couldn't remember the body of the story at all! No doubt I couldn't find it as I was searching the archives in season 4 fics as the action I remembered took place at Giles flat whereas on the show they never went there until season 4.
