Why do we take ourselves so seriously?

Zoe, take a deep breath! I would hardly call Barb's response to you 'a flame' she was simply expressing HER opinion... which she is just as entitled to do as you are...more so in fact considering it was her LJ. And she certainly never 'freaked out' as you put it.

I think you possibly both took what the other had to say a little too personally...just let it go. LOL.

It's about this attitude. This isn't the first place I've seen it.

Well, people are just as entitled to have that opinion and attitude as you are to have yours. *shrugs* There's no need to get so upset over it.

You're right.  I probably did take it too personally.  My hormones are all screwy right now.  It's not an excuse for my behavior, but it makes me overreact to things I wouldn't ordinarily overreact to.  I got my feelings hurt because I felt like she was lashing out at me.

When I made this post I was trying to vent in a place where I could just "get it out"  I didn't intend for her name to get brought into it.  Because frankly if she was the first person with this opinion I would have thought "that's odd" and that would have been it.  But I've dealt with a lot of people who have this same view, who are rather rabid about it.

That possibly colored my views of what she was saying.  I probably overreacted.  My "real" overreaction was likely posting about it here.  I felt like she lashed out and it hurt my feelings, but I don't make the situation better by coming over here and ranting about her 'even anonymously' because it still could get back to her and hurt her feelings, which is what my beef was.

So yes, I was completely out of line.  If I wanted to discuss this issue AS the issue, I should have done that, and never brought another person into it, anonymously or not.

*hugs* Zoe.

I will share my meds with you if you'd like or better yet, I have cake and chocolate cake at that and if that fails I have brownies and even then if I'm still striking out, I also have spiced apple cake...

...yeah...being sick makes me bake a lot <<

We'll hopefully be dealing with a less insane Zoe then. ;)
