Help - ran across this WIP hiding in my junk file, titled Long Way Home by Idle Idol, it was in two parts and I believe if what's left of my memory serves was almost finished.  Has anyone out there run across this fic?  I just want to thank all you posters - you have help me find several fics I was searching for.  BTW, what is the deal with LJ Seeking Spike?   Thanks - BlusSinger

The LJ Community, Seeking Spike, exists to help people locate fics.  They don't necessarily have to be Spike-related, although most often they are as that was the original idea.  It has a huge number of members, so it's very rare for someone not to know where the requested fic can be found. I don't believe you have to be a member to put in a request, although you may have to have an LJ account. Not sure.  There's usually someone who is a member who is willing to put in a request for someone who can't do it themselves for some reason.

Oh my, good luck finding it. I just googled it and found a link but it's a wayback machine link from 2003, it's pretty old if that's the story. And it just ends without a new link to a new chapter.

*is curious* Is this a Spike/Dawn story?  Or a Spike + Dawn friendship story (it says "Spike_Dawn" where I've found it)? Because it seems Buffy isn't there, regarding the summary. (Can a grief-stricken vampire find happiness in suburbia? or Spike picks up the pieces after the death of The Slayer and begins a daring new journey. Just start with Part One and keep going.)

Cordykitten - Thank you so much!!!  This is more than what I had.  I'm not sure if its just a Spike + Dawn story or if Buffy makes an appearance, I thought she did, but all I had was summary and a list of chapters.  I am discovering the joy of the WayBack site, so I'll see if they can find something.  Thanks again for your help!
