True Love, yada yada

Okay, I posted this in a previous thread, but I really need to know... in "The Girl in Question," what did it mean when Angel and Spike were at the bar, asking if they'd seen a blond haired, blue eyed American girl?  Buffy's eyes clearly aren't blue- hazel or green would've been acceptable descriptions (SMG and her contacts), but why would Spike not correct Angel?  How could Angel have made this mistake?  Was Buffy not all that important at that point?  She didn't seem to be...

As far as canon goes... I'm sorry, but the Spangel (though non sexual during the season) relationship was the most fun relationship to watch for me of all of the pairings on both shows.  No angst, no fluff, but a nice combo of dramedy.  They really rocked it. What do you guys think?

To be honest... I think the writers goofed.  *snicker*

But the best explaination I heard was on a thread somewhere.  Spuffy of course.

Spike didnt correct Angel cause he thought it was hilarious that the giant poof couldnt remember the eye color of the supposed love of his life.

Just curious as to what you meant by, "smg & her contracts".  I started watching the show in syndication,  so I'm not familiar with the behind the scenes drama.

As to "TGQ" - the entire episode didn't seem plausible to me - Buffy's eye color being wrong doesn't surprise me. jmo

Humongous goof, lol.  There whole point was to find her (and stop that impending war, kinda), and they can't even get their girl's eye color right... Sigh.

And SMG has dark brown eyes- she wore contacts on Buffy (usually hazel ones).

She wore colored contacts? I 've never seen hazel contacts that look that natural. She's talked about her eyes ranging from brown to greenish though, as she complained in an aritcle about another magazine that had changed her eye color on the cover.

With Angel, I think it made the point that Nina was much more prevalent on his mind than Buffy was. And Spike did give him a look for saying blue.

I think "The girl in question" is a great episode for Spuffy and Spike in general.  His actions speak for themselves.  It was angel that said blue eyes, no reason for Spike to correct him.  It is Spike that when they have located Buffy, is determined to make her see reason.  And he explained why he felt like that, he didn't want her to end up with a wanker like the immortal or angel.  And Spike actually believed that he didn't have a chance, he just wanted to see her happy.
