Okay, question...can anyone tell me where in the show the following quote is found? I was looking at the cool site on another forum post where there's all these t-shirts and such with buffy quotes, and this was one of them -- but i can't for the life of me remember what it has to do with the show -- who said it? was it on angel or buffy? I'm thinking possibly crazy fred, while she was figuring? but i can't remember it...can anyone tell me where this line comes in?
"Bible’s broken. Contradictions, false logistics -- doesn’t make sense. So we’ll integrate non-progressional evolution theory with God’s creation of Eden. Eleven inherent metaphoric parallels already there. Eleven. Important number. Prime number. One goes into the house of eleven eleven times, but always comes out one. Noah’s ark is a problem. We’ll have to call it early quantum state phenomenon. Only way to fit 3,000 species of mammals on the same boat."
Can anyone tell me where this was in the show and who said it?
River says it in the Firefly episode "Jaynestown". (Credit goes to Google search and not my brain.)
okay, thanx
that explains why i didn't remember it from buffy...it just confused me because all the other quotes on that t-shirt site were from buffy, as far as i could tell
thanx for clearing that up for me, love
*hugs*
DoS
They start mixing in some Firefly/Serenity stuff after a while. All in the Jossverse.
DOS, haven't you seen Firefly/Serenity?? 'Cause if you havent, you really should...you'd love it!
Some will love and some will curse you, baby
You can go to war
But only if you have to

Yeah, and watching the show in the proper order was so much better than how Fox made them do it!
We've watched Serenity several times....always fun. And River kicks ass.
yes Firefly rocks. I love River. And I was always one of those sicko River/Jayne as a romantic pairing shippers hehe. I don't know, something about them. He's all sociopathic but he's got this soft spot and would totally take care of her. (jayne reminds me of spike in some ways) and River is so vulnerable and needs to be taken care of, but she's also so very smart and can totally kick his ass if she has to.
My favorite line I think was where she said to Jayne: "I can kill you with my brain." hehehe.
hmmm....maybe i oughta check it out...i've never seen either show, but i have a feeling from the way you two are talking that i may end up hooked on it as well once i do
what's the basic premise of the show, anyway? it's sci-fi, right?
Firefly is the show and Serenity is the movie based on it
Yes, it's like the future and is in space... etc It's totally got Joss' weird sense of humour and stuff, too
It's set 300 years in the future, after a war that was The Alliance vs. the Browncoats. The Alliance wants everyone to conform to their idea of the perfect society, and they don't care what they have to do to make that happen. The Browncoats fought for freedom, and lost. They just wanted the right to live as they wanted.....and most that are left are now trying to make a go of it on the outer planets that aren't always very hospitable.
Tim Minear co-wrote and produced a lot of it.
