Well, not met, but heard of.  This girl in my story in fiction and film class said that one of her teachers actually has a shrine of the Slayer in her house, and that if she could meet Buffy (not SMG, but the character), she would leave her husband for him... Um, yea.  Don't get me wrong, I <3 JM, but I don't have a shrine dedicated to him or Spike.  Sure I got pics covering three fourths of one of my walls and a lifesize cardboard cut out, but not a shrine.

Also, I'm really cranky cause the Buffy comics still aren't at my local Borders.  Sigh.

Oh!  I have the Spike Asylum comics, and it was *really* good, and I totally reccomend it.  Although, a few of the drawings didn't quite look like JM, but the storyline was awesome.

Well, I don't have them framed, but I do have lots of pics, and a life-size poster. My boyfriend wouldn't be too happy if I peppered the house with JM/Spike.

The start up sound on my computer is Spike saying, "Hello cutie," and the background is checkered with many tiny pictures of Spike and Buffy...Does that make me a crazed fan?  If it does...then lock me away ! LOL .

I have my pictures of JM hidden so my husband won't see them.  I haven't sunk so low as the stand up.  (yes, I want one desperately.)

Lol, you guys.  I want the puppet.  Or a Spike bot.  Ha ha, I kid, I kid... um, yea.

And collectomania?  What's that and how come I never heard of it?

It's a giant convention/trade show for sci-fi, fantasy, and comic related stuff in England. People can buy merchandise, and also get to see actors/actresses from their favorite movies and shows. James is doing Q&A's, autos, and photos this weekend. Charisma is also there, and Tony Head. The guest list is quite long. They let you get up to 7 autographs, so a lot of dealers will go to get things signed to sell later.

There are conventions in the US, hon, though the US equivalent to CM would I guess be ComicCon.

Thanks Caro for the suggestion, but unless he comes to Chicago or I get a huge windfall for traveling, it doesn't look so well.

Chicago's always a possibility.....James used to live there, and still likes the town. Send an email suggestion to his management, if you like.

LOL...I am one very lucky married woman!  My husband has actually been the one to buy most of my Spike/JM stuff up to and including a lovely framed, signed 8x10 of Spike in his "basement" hair period.  My Jim (my husband is a James too) knows I'd never cheat on him or leave him even if JM went insane and suddenly desired overweight middle aged women in his harem!

Jim even sent me to to LA for the Wolfram and Hart Revue during the last months of AtS where I met lots of the writers and actors.  James wasn't able to come (the first time he missed the fan mixer) because he had his son for the weekend and family plans kept him away.  Point was my hubby sent me there hoping I'd get to meet JM....he says he'll eventually send me off to one of the fan meet and greets when we can work the schedule for it.

So, yeah......lots of pictures, calendars, etc. with full husband acceptance (even abetting).  Tee hee.....I KNOW I'm lucky.
