Wow. really like this.  You should probably mark it complete... I almost didn't read it because I thought it was unfinished.  I usually don't like 'human' stories... but this one with the shanshu -- it works within context of canon, and its twists and turns are believable.    I ended up being quite glad that Spike didn't get himself turned again...  I found myself fearing that at one point.  That would have sucked. 

Very nice happy ending.

So I don't know whether to be happy or sad. I really did enjoy reading how John found his way back to Spike, with the whole bleaching of the hair and the re-wearing of the duster. But I am also hanging on the edge of my seat for a Spike Buffy reunion, but i can wait. Take all the time you need, I'm having too much fun reading this story :D

You got Dawn's mannerisms perfectly re "fanning herself"...very distinct action.  Just leave it to Dawn to throw in something out of left field.  Feeling sorry for the damage control Buffy will probably have to do already.

OMG! I literally have tear pricks in my eyes! This was a wonderful chapter! I understand Giles' argument, it not really being fair to 'John' but I like Buffy's argument too, it is time she did something for herself! I love what John wrote in Giles' copy! Can't wait for more!!!

I can't believe Angel was the one to bail them out! I didn't see that coming at all! Which is weird, it makes since that it would be Angel. Great tension between them and great chemistry between Buffy and John!

I'm so glad they got to dance together! But I suppose the tears at the end are because she has to tell him a little more about her 'world protection' job. Maybe not a lot, but I"m sure he'll expect answers! I'd love to have Spike say something about 'dancing'...

It strikes me that Misty is very similar to Cecily only appreciating a man for his material wealth.   I'm glad it's the other way around and Spike's inherent good sense to realize it came to the fore.   

I liked the part about 'holding court' over her subjects! I'm very excited to see that Buffy is falling for the human Spike too! Quite a dilemma she has...I hope for the best!

I can't wait for the next chapter! It's nice to see some of the "William" side coming out like his manners etc. Just little glimpses we got in the series. Also his natural nature of being shy-ish. I'm sure Spike's ex will be there and Buffy will have to stake a claim on him! This is more intriguing than I thought it would be...I"m totally hooked!

 I am pretty much in love with the concept for this story! This can be added to my long list of lovely Spuffy-centric endings instead of the goings on of the comics! so this is pretty much awesome! Can't wait for more!!! :)

LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!! I love the idea behind it. And I love that banner on this chapter! I really liked Buffy's comparison of Angel and the little girl. Oooohh I'm so excited that you have a new story! I can't wait for more! Will he notice her and be drawn to her? Will she tell him that she at least knew him and sugar coat their past? Maybe not mention all the nasties aka being a vampire until they're out on a date and she has to dust one? Squee! So many possibilities! Can't wait!!!!
