I don't think I've ever seen a story where Buffy and Spike were mated this early in the process.  It was an interesting take on the fight with the master.  It felt a bit sudden how quickly they discovered their love, but as a strategy for fighting the master, the bond was quite clever.

Nice story and you took on a very difficult subject with this very young Buffy and her parental figures and the betrayal by Giles.  Plus, Buffy and Spike sex with this very young Buffy - another subject that comes with a lot of cultural baggage.   I have to admit that since I have such a great dislike and find it impossible to accept and condone Angel's relationship with Buffy, I find it hard to accept the sexual relationship of Spike with Buffy in this period.  Their sexual relationship is always a problem for me especially since I like reading Spuffy based in the early Sunnydale period of Season 1 through 3.

Great fic really enjoyed it. I always wondered what would happen if Buffy had to run away from the council. She should have sent them an email. Pointing out that they were the ones to put the hellmouth at risk. They may not like her choice of boyfriend, but at least she was still doing her job. Maybe a sequel

good read and a good ending to the first section of your tale. thank you. would probably have saved a lot of grief, if spike had finished travers and giles.

That was a surprise, I had no idea you were doing a sequel. Of course I'm happy they are together, but it ashame they can't stay in SunnyD with her mom and friends. It's something the Council would do, want to test the mated pair, but how naive is Giles to think Buffy wouldn't be harmed. Have a wonderful holiday, Inzey. I can't wait for the next chapter, knowing the loss of the connection will deeply affect Buffy and Spike. I love Spike playing the hero, especially for the woman he loves, and his Victorian sensibilities won't take well to some stuffed-shirts and someone Buffy trusted taking advantage of her. You don't hurt someone a master vampire like Spike cares about unless you're prepared to pay for it with blood!

Maybe Angel did understand now that Buffy is Spike's even when he had trouble to believe that she isn't under a thrall.

Like this story much - would like to have had a little more exploration of both Buffy & Spike and their emotional needs and trauma as part of the foundation from the plot thus far - this is such a huge change of their lives and entire everyday world - kinda feel like I wanted to know more of why they took this action. But I do like your piece - on to more reading.

Wow, Spikes the head of the line now. Angel had to of felt the Masters demise, wondering if he'll be there so see the claimed slayer and the new head of the clan. Loved that the chapter started with his remark about going into "hell" and her last remark about them going to meet their "doom". That say's volumes to what their lives consist of. I'd imagine she's the only slayer to be mated to the head of a clan let alone a powerful clan like the Aurelians. I'm enjoy this so much, can't wait to see what's next to come for this couple. They haven't even submitted to their desires yet. Boy, are the scoobies going to see a different Buffy after this. They make each other more powerful through the claim. Why would she think she's not the slayer anymore? She didn't die this time. Because of the claim? Enjoying this so much, Ine, Can't wait for more updates.
