Wonderful!

I have to say that this is a bloody brilliant story. Granted, some I had to wrestle with some disbelief -- Spike being so hurt he couldn't walk back down the stairs -- but you do what you have to to tell a good story.

Most importantly, the characters don't overstep the bounds set in the season, and stay in character despite the setup. The dialogue is carefully done, and suits both spike and buffy.

Overall this story had a nice depth of angst and uplifting sense of warm fuzzies. One of my favorites.

Um... have you considred doing what happens after Buffy rescued Spike from the ubervamp in "Showtime?" Tons of possibilities there, and hurt/comfort... Sorry, lol, but I'd just like to see your spin on it :D

This was nice, DoS. I liked Buffy's reaction and her compassion in fixing Spike up.

You know, that always kinda bugged me- why couldn't the potentials sleep in the basement and Buffy stay in her own room? Cause they couldn't actually let us see Spike in Buffy's bed for a change unless it's a dream- heaven forbid!

Anyway, interesting twist on that eppy, and can't wait to see how it ends, and if Giles will show up or not ;) And ooh- will there be snuggling on the king sized bed?

"Why does everything we say to each other always have to hurt?" that sure describes a great deal of their relationship. excellent read, thank you.

I always wished they had Buffy comfort Spike after Wood finished his treachery. I can see Spike reacting just like this. Excellent.

I am just glad that Buffy is taking care of him. There is just so much history between the two of them. And to have Spike push himself just to apologize and Buffy taking care of him for the night is very telling and moving for them.
