I like what you have done with this - it fits into the logic of NFA - In the series, pre-comics, it felt to me like nothing else but a tragic loss and totally waste of the lives of the AI-Team following Angel "Blaze of Glory" scheme. 

This wonderful little gem goes perfectly, IMO, with what would have happened had LA not been sent to the Hell dimension.

I'd love a follow-up, preferably with Buffy getting Willow to teleport her there and a happy ending for our pair but that's just the Spuffy lover in me.

aaahhh, how sweet--and how sad!  I was surprised in the AtS finale that Spike didn't get hold of Buffy, so I'm glad you did it.  I can just imagine her anguish, however, when she realizes he was "alive" but saying goodbye and about to be lost to her yet again.  sob, sob

So sad.  Please continue when you are able.
