Weeeeell...

I'm four chapters in to the sequel to this, but I've stalled on it (especially once I started focusing on Could Be You).  So, maybe?

I hope the sequel is a happier one.
The sequel should have a happier conclusion, but it's not going to be easy getting there.  Thanks for your review :)

Wow.  That was really powerful.  Well done!!  Any plans for a sequel?  I'd love to know what happens and how Spike and Giles deal with it.  But it does stand beautifully on its own, too.  Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much!  Yes, there are definite sequel plans!  Despite thinking that I wouldn't end up writing this story idea for a long while (which is why I posted this part as a stand-alone), once I posted this the rest of it started writing itself, so I'm obeying the inspiration while it's here.  Glad you liked!

For Buffy to be turned is bad enough; but by gang of lucky amateurs is tragic.
That's exactly it.  We all know Buffy deserves to go out in one hell of a battle, but what she gets instead are three lucky fledglings who happened to catch her at the worst possible time.  It makes it that much more heartbreaking for everyone involved.  Thanks for reading!

Oh, this is fabulous! Beautifully written, lovely characterisations and a nice angsty storyline--my favourite flavour!
Thank you, and yeah, it is rather angsty, isn't it?  Glad you liked (characterizations and angst) and there will definitely be more of the angst to come . . . eventually!
