I never liked this season either and I never wrote a story for it before. But then I thought of Spike taking Angel's place and the whole thing worked. :D I'm so glad you're liking it!

Lovely. It's great that, although Spike is relatively "hands off" in the helping department, he's actively trying to teach her something. Strategy, the importance of knowing your enemy. Angel was cryptic guy, but Spike is a teasing teacher guy.
Evil Spike would still get irritated when he sees someone doing something dumb and would say so, inadvertently teaching her. Thank you for liking it!

It's so much fun to go over the early days - Spike's presence is proving to be a little more helpful than not. Here's hoping...
I always thought that Spike at his most evil would be of more use than Angel at his most souled. :D

Lotta action in that chapter. You know, at first I thought Spike was gonna somehow get mistaken for the Souled one, but it doesn't look like that is likely. This is probably more fun. Thanks.
Spike would never be able to carry off being a good guy. He just likes causing trouble too much! And badass Spike is so much fun to write! :D

Love the story, especially the way you're weaving it in with canon and the way helpful Spike keeps popping up. He's a lot more helpful being evil than Angel was being a goody good.
That's what I thought - that evil Spike, amusing himself by giving out cryptic hints intended to cause trouble, would still be more helpful than Angel ever was. :D

I just blew through the first two chapters, and now I'm completely hooked on this fic. I love the way you've taken early canon and put a whole new spin on it. This is so well-done, very clever and original, not to mention intriguing. I can't wait to see where you're taking this next. You've done a great job of capturing the essence of all of these characters. All the snarky quips are absolutely perfect. No pressure, but, uh... I hope you update again really soon.
I'd never tried season 1 because Spike wasn't in it. Then I wondered what if he was and how would his methods differ from Angel's. I'm so glad you're liking it. And I'll be updating every day.

Love the twist on 'The Harvest'. Everybody totally in character and as close to canon as feasible given the lack of Angel and addition of playful EvilSpike. Excellent work. More please.
I was in fact worried that it was too close to canon and people might get bored. But adding a mischievous Spike helped and from now on it will start moving off. I'm so glad you liked it! Thank you!
