Hoo Boy! William is not what anybody expected! What a hoot!

Well, of course! I do wonder who this Master might be. Not that it matters as much as Spike+Buffy=4evah!
I do wonder why both Spike and William are missing their memories, though. Or, why William has fake ones and Spike has none. Hmmmm.

I kept wondering what William would be like if he were born in this day and age. Not quite as geeky - he has to survive in a tougher environment. :)

Easy! Willow put the two Xanders back together! Easy-peasy, as Willow would say! But, the question is, which one would/does/will Buffy really want, or perhaps rather, choose? Can she be happy with a solely human and scholarly William? Just 'cos she sees a little bit of Spike in him? Or would she end up bored out of her mind? Will she tame the demon-Spike even a little bit? Right now, anyway, she feels she can't kill the demon-Spike... yet, he doesn't remember her, and he obviously wants to kill her. Wow--- poor Buffy really doesn't know WHAT (or WHO) she wants (other than maybe her cake and eating it too? If you look at it from a standpoint of Spike being from a time and place now gone (meaning Sunnydale), and of Buffy's mindset remaining static, she's really not in good mental shape! The world is moving on around her, as are the people around her, changing, growing, maturing, learning, evolving... and she isn't. She, except for her physical environment, is still stuck (or wanting to be stuck) for all intents & purposes, still back in Sunnydale: the person she was, wanting the Spike that WAS. This might literally foce Miss Summers to make an actual choice here.
And I can't wait until Spike sees William. Surely he'll want to eat him?
Why William "Knight" instead of William "Pratt"? Just curious.
And why the sudden appearance of William AND Spike, both in Rome, both at the same time as Buffy's appearance? And WHY does demon-Spike even WANT to remain in Rome so badly? I mean, initially? Why did he come there (besides HOW!)? Why ROME? Anything to do with Rome's branch of WR&H? (Has Angel teamed up with the LA branch of WR&H yet here in your story? Will he?) Demon-Spike seems as if he might be somebody's pawn--- especially as he seems NOT to know who he is. Can't wait to see who and moreso WHY!

The danger does exist that demon-Spike might eat William as he might not like having a double around and Spike always tends to take direct action.
'Knight' instead of 'Pratt' is explained when Angel turns up in Ch. 4. Spike hated people knowing his real name and I didn't want to spoil that for him here. (And, yes, Angel is CEO of W&H now as in canon.)

I love the idea of Spike and William having been separated, so Buffy can see what she loves about the vampire she knew. I loved how you showed both of them as complete characters but clearly different, and Buffy's reaction to both. I do wonder if they are two separate entities now, or if during the day he is William and somehow transforms into Spike at night... Very interesting how Spike doesn't seem to remember who he is, or even the name. I'm really curious about this Master and what part he might have played behind the scenes.
If the human William is part of the Shanshu, though, just imagine the boozing, whoring Liam turning up after Angel Shanshues--I wonder what Buffy would think of that! It's so like Buffy, but I was shaking my head when she thought she would be happy with Angel if only he turned human-- Grow up already, Buffy! You have nothing in common, you've grown apart, and you wouldn't be able to last, bored out of your mind with Angel and no crisis around to distract you from how much you don't fit together!

I too think Angel would be Liam if he shanshued. So not a good thing. *g* But of course Buffy tends to take things at face value, so she'd think his turning human would solve all their problems. But that's not what she needs. I'm so glad you're enjoying this! Thank you!

Seriously, The PTB separated spike and william? But why that 's a good question, althrough I think It may be to help Buffy learn love both of them...
By the way, I can just see angel face when he learns Spike gfot Sanshued :) that would have been funny
