I'm glad to see that you are taking up your work again - but honestly, why not do something that you really love - take up another character from the series or just do some totally fun project, strictly for yourself.
I been doing some banners based on the evolution of Spike, some alone and some with Buffy, from the Bela Legosi Dracula - think that might be something interesting for you to think about and maybe try working with?
It's good to take up older works too - sometimes you are totally surprised with where the revisit takes you. I like doing that with my early paintings.
