Ohhhhh... i hate this part, when buffy and spike are both kidnapped and they have to find their way back to eachother :( go back to the smoochies hehehhe.
This chapter disappointed me, but not for a bad reason. You see when a story starts to get to a conflict like this you know that the story is going to have an ending, well you always know that the story is going to have an ending... but this chapter is where it hit me that when it ends there will be no more and that depresses me. Did that make sense? What im actually trying to say, even though i have a pretty round-about way of saying it, is can you pretty pretty pretty pretty pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaasseeeeeeeeee with lots of sugar and chocolate and icecream and puppies and rainbows on top, make this story go on for like.... ever?

I'm currently writing chapter 19 *gasp* and I know there will be several more before I can wrap the story up. Amazons are a plot twist that needs to be resolved but there's still issue of Spike and Buffy being kinda lost, and are they going to have enough money to get back to Sunnydale? Also, things between them are heated but far from cleared up and they're both kind of confused on where they stand now. What about Scoobies and their reaction? See? Lots of issues to resolve yet. :) How could I possibly refuse the delicious offerings of yours?? I love chocolate, and ice-cream and puppies and all that stuff!! Add a naked Spike covered in whipped cream and we have a deal. ;) Hope I made you feel better! Thank you for being amazing!!! :D

NO! Oh, how could you do this to us?! The kissing and touching was perfect and then BAM it all disappeared!! I think I even wept!! Oh, you will need to update extremely quickly as penance for torturing us!!!!

Now, having got that out of the way, :) , I adored Spike's second guessing himself about buying the rabbit and his attempts at trying to hide it. The idea of hiding it in the trunk (which most likely is filled with weapons and empty wine bottles) was just priceless!! I can just picture him a few months down the track opening up the trunk to retrieve a weapon only to pull out a stuffed rabbit! Oh, what a big bad he is!! :) And his thoughts on what Buffy's reactions would be to his gift were rather heartrending (being mocked and laughed at or have her treat him as something she just scraped off her shoe). He's a very insecure boy don't you think? Mind you, with Dru as his first and only girlfriend for a hundred years I'm not surprised he has just as many issues as Buffy! I absolutely cracked up at the part where Buffy says "ah, clothes. How I missed you" and the immediate reaction of "he certainly hadn't". Naughty, sexy Spike, we all know how you would prefer to have Buffy!! ")

The rather playful scene where Buffy is set on discovering what he is hiding was lovely to read, especially when Spike finally gives in and we have Buffy's rather quiet "It's Mr Donald" showing a glimpse of how Spike's gift must have touched her. Follow this up with Spike's extremely embarrassed reaction coupled with Buffy's clutching the gift to her chest to prevent Spike from a rather impulsive action plus having her kissing him on the cheek and his shy school-boy act and you have a scene that has you experiencing a maelstrom of emotions!! Well done on a brilliant piece of writing!! :)
The slogan on Buffy's shirt was perfect!! Although I'm sure Spike would be most disappointed if it was entirely true as far as Buffy is concerned!! Oh dear, that was a rather X-rated comment wasn't it!! ") My bad!! Personally, if I was with Spike I'd be wearing a shirt that said "BITE ME!!" The slogan for Spike's shirt sounds like one I'd buy for my brother, good luck trying to get him to wear anything that isn't black!! His excuse is that the stains don't show up! And can I say, Spike - you are such a typical male!! Total breast fixation!!
Then we have the totally hot kiss against the car. My word, you certainly know how to get our blood pumping!! And I loved Buffy's token protest of "we really shouldn't be doing this...wrong, wrong kissing" and Spike's agreement which of course meant that they just continue more enthusiastically than they were before!! And I guess Spike wasn't disappointed afterall, Buffy actually does bite!! ") And all those wondering hands, *groan*, my goodness, I'll be a puddle of goo by the time these two finally resolve all of this UST.
It was truly cruel of you to interrupt our happy moment with those vengeful Amazons. I certainly hope Buffy kicks their butts into next week for not only causing our brains (not to mention hers!) to implode with impatience and frustration but for also hurting Spike!!
Buffy's thought process when she regains consciousness was extremely well written and it was great to see her acknowledging that she wants Spike and being honest with herself. Also this description: "Cold sweat had erupted on her skin at the thought of Spike being dust. The very thought of it made her nauseous, her stomach rolling rebelliously against the possibility.", is positively the best I've ever read for this type of situation!! If she doesn't love him yet she certainly seems on her way to that point!! Having an example of magical powers thrown in there at the end lends a whole new aspect as to how much trouble our two lovelies have found themselves in. Something tells me it's going to take a lot of work to get out of this mess.
Thank you for a completely marvellous chapter - apart from teasing us with that tantalising scene on the car!! To make up for it you can either put in a naked Spike in the next chapter or have a completely concerned Buffy fussing over Spike! Either will be acceptable!! Or both, maybe at the same time!! ") Seriously, though, you are a brilliant writer and I look forward to reading each new chapter as it comes!! You certainly make this spuffy fan very happy.
Awww, I’m sorry! It was pretty evil of me to interrupt them, but they would have ended up getting it on in a public parking lot. Well, now that I think about it… nothing wrong with that. *grins* But you know me, I won’t let you guys hang for long. ;)
Hahaha, I love the visual! Spike got quite frantic when his brain finally got the message- he bought Buffy a toy! He panicked, trying to think of ways to conceal what he’s done without her noticing. Hee… who knows what’s in the trunk? It’s a car they stole, so we can assume there even might be a murdered hitchhiker in it. ;) They had to ditch DeSoto when fleeing from Amazons in the earlier chapter. But not to worry, they will come back for it. And oh yeah, big yes to Spike being insecure. Can’t really blame him with Dru as his constant companion for more than a century. It’s not that I think she didn’t love him. I just think she wasn’t much into monogamy, and for her Spike was like one of her dolls. Someone to play with then discard in favour of a better toy. Also, I think she’ll always stay more loyal to Angelus since he’s the one who made her. That’s where Spike is so different from other vamps- he only wants to love and be loved in return with equal passion. He and Buffy are both confident when it comes to their warrior side, but are painfully insecure when it comes to them being just a man/woman. That’s what being rejected so many times does to you, I suppose. And yup, we all know Spike would prefer Buffy in her birthday suit. ;)
You melt my heart. You really do. I’m so happy you liked that! The reveal of Mr. Donald and Buffy’s reaction was pretty important and Spike was left stunned by her not rejecting him and instead even thanking him for that. She left him speechless and utterly shy like a school boy, as you said. He’s still William inside- vulnerable and human.
Hahaha! I’m sure Spike wouldn’t mind getting nibbled on by Buffy. ;) And hey, she did bite him so that T-shirt was totally lying. Lol But I guess that happens when kissing Spike- even Buffy gets overzealous. And if Buffy wore a T-shirt saying ‘Bite Me’, we all know Spike wouldn’t mind taking it literally. *g* He just can’t help but want to take a bite out of her. LOL at your brother!! That excuse sounds so much like a typical male thing to say. Black doesn’t stain. LMAO! Aaah, men. They’re all the same, aren’t they?
Well, I aim to please. ;) Nothing better than a hot making out session, in public no less. Things will get heated between them in the following chapters, after they manage to escape Amazons’ clutches. There will be wandering hands- very wandering hands. ;) And Buffy really just offered a token protest- we all know that by ‘wrong’ she meant ‘oh my God, yes, touch me right there, that’s incredible’. *g*
The Amazons will get what’s coming to them, no worries. It will get a bit hairy though so we’ll see what Spike and Buffy do to get themselves out of that sticky situation. They’ll certainly have to join forces and work together as a team.
I thought it would be pretty pointless of her to deny her attraction to Spike after she dry humped him for all to see. She finally admits that she wants to lick Spike from head to toe because he’s really an equivalent of a big chunk of delicious chocolate. ;) The thought of him dust doesn’t sit well with her at all- that is quite a revelation and an epiphany. I’m so happy you liked that! That makes me very giddy! :D She’s definitely on her way to loving him.
