Poor Spike! The temptation of running down that sign must have been just irresistable, but he didnt do it for buffy's sake. Good for him :) awww and he was sooo cute waking her up hehehehe, i giggled at the word peepers. :D
and OH NO! *dramatic silence* how oh how is buffy going to tell everybody? oooooh the suspense is killing me!

I'm a bit sick, so im not my usual bubbly self, which is a shame cos this is one of those chapters where i can give you a really long review about all the random shit within the chapter that i just absolutely love. :(

So im not gonna give you a proper review till im feeling better, cos i wont do it justice right now :)

I'm kinda sad the road trip is over and we are stuck with deny-o-buffy again.  I like her so much better when she isn't avoiding her feelings for Spike.

This chapter was truly brilliant!! The opening scene with Spike actually resisting the impulse to crash through the welcome sign all because he didn't want to "endanger Buffy’s life" and having Buffy displaying once again how much she trusts him by being "curled against his side" was just beautiful to picture! :)

Then of course we move to your wonderful insight to Spike's mind. Once more we have Spike displaying his skill at getting inside Buffy's head and predicting what will most likely occur. "Buffy may believe she could ignore their opinions but he knew her, and her friends were one constant in her life she wouldn’t be able to bear losing. So if it came to a choice between him and her mates… well, Spike didn’t like his chances." A rather painful realisation for anyone to come to, although I think given the right incentive Buffy is more than capable of saying to hell with everyone else's opinion and proving to Spike that as her love interest he is more important to her than friends who could in future drift away from her anyway.

Mmmm...getting woken up by Spike peppering kisses all over my face....I can't think of a nicer way to return to consciousness! :)

“Well, just tell them I can make you come with your clothes on and I bet they’ll be all for it.” - I absolutely adored this line!! Now, Anya may certainly concur with Spike here but I'm not too sure about the others!!

Oh boy, things got rather steamy in the car!! I'm surprised the windows weren't fogged over!! ") Spike can put his wonderful and talented lips and tongue all over me anyday!! And after that hot little scene I have to agree with Buffy's "How am I supposed to make my brain work now?" I think my mind has gone an extended vacation!!

I can't stop laughing at the image of Spike twisting his head back around to catch of glimpse of a naked Buffy whilst his car takes a detour off the road!! Although I'm sure Buffy would be more than willing to cheer him "up" afterwards!! ")

I loved your characterisation of Joyce. It was very true to how she appears on the show and all her lines I can just hear her saying them in that wonderful motherly voice of hers!! I especially liked the horrified reaction of "You're pregnant!" Although I'm sure Joyce wouldn't mind a lovely little grandchild with Buffy's smile and Spike's beautiful blue eyes!! :)

Buffy's interaction with Giles was also marvellously handled! It ran like an excerpt from an episode screenplay and I loved how you managed to convey Giles' annoyance with Buffy's flip replies but mixed it in with fatherly affection. I also liked how you put in the awkwardness between Giles and Joyce. Some unresolved issues there too by the looks of things!!

Buffy's remonstration of herself for being a "a big cowardly chicken" was rather touching, almost as though she knew she had failed Spike by not being brave enough to tell Giles the truth right away. My favourite line had to be when she is thinking about Spike and she realises that her friends don't know "how shy and vulnerable he could be. That he loved her. That what he lacked in the obscure soul department he more than made up by having heart of a good man." My heart was all warm and tingly when I read this!! Mind you I had to laugh at her Scarlett O'Hara moment of "She’d tell them all. Tomorrow."

And Joyce being the "biggest, scariest challenge of all"? I guess most people would agree - even Spike, who got the bump on the head to prove it!!! :)

I certainly look forward to the next chapter to see how Joyce will take Buffy's confession of her feelings for Spike!! And hopefully, a little more spuffy loving?! *hint, hint* Please, oh most gifted and talented author?!

Also, in reply to your note, "wenis" is slang for the skin that covers the olecranon (a large, thick, curved bony eminence of the forearm that projects behind the elbow and is situated at the upper end of the ulna). And Happy Easter to you too!! Enjoy those homecooked meals! There's nothing like them in all the world!! :)

It's like you read my mind! I was on the site reading another story when I decided to check one last time to see if you had updated and you did! I haven't reviewed this story in a while but would just like to tell you I love this whole story and am still following along! I am always checking for an update! I can only hope that Buffy will work up the courage to tell everyone and defend Spike because Heaven knows he needs it. I enjoy the whole story and seeing this side of Spike we all knew was there if the Buffy in the show were nicer! Lol! I look forward to your updates and cannot wait for Buffy and Spike to finally have their night...or day together!
