Remind me not to use that level of sarcasm on myself ever again, she thought.   Only one of many very Buffy-like and clever lines.  I'm zipping along from chapter to chapter, so not reviewing every one (bad, Patti, bad!), but had to make note of that line.

I've really enjoyed the story so far.  I've got my own theory about why Buffy reacted as she did after Spike got brought to W&H, but I'm not going to say.

I'm glad Fred's awake, I really don't like having Spike at the mercy of Wolfram and Hart, definately not to be trusted. Don't know what to think about Spike's brain activity, is it due to his connecton with Buffy, or is he becoming a real boy? Don't think Angel would like that and if he turned human would he really be Spike.
I'm so glad their connection is still working, I'm desperate for her to find out he's really back, even if she doesn't know where. it's got to give her hope. Love it so far, looking forward to the next update. 

just got to read the last 3 chapters - this is so interesting, I find myself reading and re-reading to make sure I got it all, very intriguing magic explanation and the connection between Spike and Buffy is also intriguing. I do really like this story, so glad you are keeping us on edge and finishing this chapter with "hello pet" well, just ooohh! I could hear those luscious tones!

Hmm. Brain stem activity. The science geek in me is very intrigued! And of course, the Buffy geek in me likes the way the chapter ended...
