Eight people? Wow, Xander and Anya were in the house or were they? Anyroad, bad Willow. So selfish.
Instead of Willow only directing the spell to affect Tara and Buffy (and it whammying everyone near them when it got amped up), Willow cast the spell against "her family". So although Xander and Anya are not in the house, they were affected. The house is only important insofar as those within it will have to wake up and figure out (a) why half their walls are in bits and (b) who they all are to one another.
And oh yes, very bad Willow.

I'm really hoping someone gets a handle on rampant Willow, she's out of control.
