My hatred for Angel grew a lot more;which didn't change the total even a little bit.Just imagine how much the Spuffy shippers want to shove a stake through his bean-like,dead heart.Poor Dru...:( I liked her more than I ever liked Angel.Too bad she's gone and her Daddy is still around.

Yes I always felt sorry for Dru. She was a truly good person who wanted to be as ood as she could be and Angelus drove her mad and then turned her!!! She had no chance. I always thought she was one vampire that could never be held responsible for anything she did because she was made to be crazy before the demon even moved in! She loved her Spike as much as she could considering what Angelus made her become. I felt it sad there was no way to "save" her or help her. Now she has peace at least.

Yes. I actually have great sympathy for Dru. She was one of the saddest characters on the show. A genuine good person made insane and then turned into a monster unable to really deal with her unlife very well....sad. k

aggghhh... i hate Angel. who does he think he is?
He must think he's god considering how even on the show he was always making decisions for everyone else without even consulting them!!! Angel knows best! K

Found a glitch. Earlier you mentioned the submarine meeting time re Spike and Angel and in this chappie that flew out the window. Otherwise, I'm loving it!
Thank you....I went back and looked and this was probably not as clear as it should have been. I meant the submarine incident with the "once" in this paragraph. I'll think on how I may want to reword it though as I can see that it might not be too clear. Thanks again, K

Holy crap! That was quite the intense interlude. Such a fight, and my god, stupid Angel for staking Dru. So sad she's not around somewhere. Poor Spike, he may have moved on, but that is not easy. Wonder how Buffy will react to the truth.
That just seemed like the only "choice" Angel would see to me. I kept thinking, "What would Angel do?" and it kept coming back to staking her. Spike may have moved on but that didn't mean he didn't care. Thanks K

I really love this story. I think it is fun to watch the interaction between Spike and everyone else. jenni is a great character in this, and angel is the ultimate jerk. I CANNOT believe he staked Dru - even if she is evil he should be tortured over a rack will small but sharp instruments which would last for hours before dustage. *sigh* Anyone great ficcy *grin*
Thank you! You know I thought for days about what I thought Angel would do with Dru and it kept coming back to a staking. He was always going for the solution that worked best for him and the last thing he would want is to actually take responsibility to induce her to stop feeding off of people (and I think he could have done it since Dru would do anything for her daddy and he had conditioned her to obey him). Nope, dust Dru, problem fixed. I agree it was not good or nice but then neither is Angel quite often. Thanks again. K

Uh oh, looks like Spike might not be able to wait until Friday's dinner to drop the bomb on Buffy! I hope he really doesn't drag it out much longer b/c she is going to be really pissed if she finds out that everyone else knew and she didn't! Also, if Angel really dusted Dru wouldn't Spike have felt the loss of his sire? Or was Angel just saying that he did it in front of Giles and Jenny to look good? Please update soon!
Thank you...update coming soon. I intended that Dru was dusted there could be many reasons Spike didn't feel it including the fact that he comes from a different time where there was already a distance between them or his distraction with all the things happening in SUnnydale. In canon they never made that big a deal over the sire/childe bond so that works too. Thank you! K

Can't believe Angel dusted Dru - what nasty piece of work he is.
Angelus was never far from the surface IMHO (look at some of the choices he made on Angel the series!) K

Great chapter. It's nice to see a pre-angst Buffy in a nice relationship. It sure was satisfying when Spike punched Angel; I never liked Angel's overbearing attitude and you really amped it up for this fic.
Can't wait to see how the dinner goes with Buffy, Spike & Joyce. Wonder how Joyce will like Spike in this context and how Buffy will react to Spike's info. Hope Angel doesn't try to screw it up, since he knows Spike's plan.

Just now getting a chance to read this and catch up with it all so far. Excellent read! Love the relationship between Spike/Buffy and Spike and Jenny. Who knew Jenny Calendar could be such an asset and friend to Spike. Hate Angel. Such an ass. Of course he would take the easy way out... so like him. Complete ass. Grrrr.
Looking forward to seeing what dinner with Joyce will bring.
Jenny seemed like she might be more open to giving a vampire a chance (open but watchful) because of her unique background. Yes, Angel would always do what's best ......FOR HIM. Thanks K

OMG! Getting close to the time for Spike to be fessing up with Buffy. Angelus seems to be a lot closer to the surface now. Will Spike or Buffy get to dust him? More story please.
More coming. Angelus was never far from the surface, just look at some of the things Angel did (like allowing Darla and Dru to eat the lawyers and some of the things he chose to do in season 5 on Angel)....K
