There is a definite nastiness to Buffy’s thoughts and actions, her self involvement and lack of concern for others is taken to a new level with this idea from Giles. And poor Anya, Buffy doesn’t even hear her comment about Xander. Hope you’re able to update soon.

Poor Anya! I can't believe that Buffy missed what she had said about Xander letting her sleep with Spike before Buffy. I really wish that Xander would have treated her better than he did in the show!

I can't wait to see what pointers Anya gives Buffy to "dominate" Spike! Then again, I have a few ideas myself, lol!

Hmm I don't know if my meomory of the fights between Buffy and Spike on the show are fucked but to me it seems that up to this point in the Canon there would be a tie in fights between them.

Hell I might even be inclined to say that Spike is ahead on points. He had a clear kill during their first fight but was interupted by Joyce. The church fight wasn't really a 1 on 1 fight but to me it was a draw with Buffy getting a "cheap shot" in on Spike as he was getting Dru out of there. Buffy won the fight with the gem of amara ofcourse, maybe Spike was just a little too cocky with it but he got away on his own so not really a clear victory for her.

I would say that it would be a 50/50 chance of Spike winning at least. It is the problem of judging a characters skill against another when all we have to go are their fights on show of which are made to fit the drama and not their skills really. The most obvious example of that is the discussion of skill of the jedi/sith in Star Wars Ep III, where Obi-Wan beats Anakin/Vader but gets thrashed by Count Dooku who in turn gets offed easily by Anakin. The same kind of argument can be made here and no real good answear can be found but I hate it when Buffy comes across as a sure thing over Spike cause that is not how I would interpret the things I see on the show. You also have the fight in season 5 when Spike thinks he's got the chip out, he's got a clear kill there too but the chip stops him.

All this is ofcourse made to make it dramatic and move the story forward but still to me Spike is just as good as Buffy. I mean the guy killed 2 slayers and I'm not sure about the whole 1 good day crap either. Once could be fluke but 2 then you are just good.

I just hope that Buffy really does understand what she is getting into. I don't know if Spike is really going to go through with this. Love Anya... She is such hoot!!

Well, I was thinking that it would be great fun for Buffy to fail and have to go back to Anya for pointers. Repeatedly. But the whole thing is squicking me out more and more.

See, no matter what platitudes Anya says, it IS rape. It's mind rape. Buffy is planning to completely rape Spike's mind and personality.

The only thing that can ever make me okay with this story is if the little bitch has the tables turned on her and she gets the violation she would inflict on another. Then it would be self-defense and also just desserts.

Either way, I think I should be pissed that this story doesn't have a rape / torture warning. Because it should.

Bwahahahaha LOVE this. Funny, the whole dominance ritual /vampire lore part is ours (fans) made up but it FITS canon so well. I think of Smashed and it is pretty much what you had Anya describe. Spike and Buffy fighting for the upper hand and sex being the victors spoil. Spike, of course had already submitted to Buffy emotionally onscreen but after he SOOOO fit the "results" you give for it here. Spike's onscreen responses to Angel/us fit the imagined dominance that must have taken place when Spike was a fledge.

Again....excellent!!! Just keep the stories coming. I love having good stories to read while I play hooky from my own story (or as my muse is off getting some nookie and ignoring my orders he get to work!).
