I'd noticed this story's updates a few times but had so many others that I'd been reading and didn't make time for it till now,and WOW! I'm sorry I didn't start this sooner. Can't wait to get caught up, it's so good. Thanks for the read.

Wow - I discovered this story quite by accident. BUT I AM TOTALLY HOOKED BY THE FIRST CHAPTER.
Keep the updates coming cause this looks like a great story. I always thought it too strange that no one seemed to make a big deal or even care that a "demon" went and voluntarily got his soul.
But they made such a big deal out of Angel's curse. Never made sense to me... I like how you started out - can't wait to see where it goes.

I try to update and respond on a fairly regular basis, so no worries there. I never understood that either. I curse implies just that- it wasn't wanted. It'll be a ride.:) I hope you stay with me, I think it'll be worth it.

i like this story. getting the council involved is very interesting. i loved Quentin going to Giles. that was too funny. can't wait to read the next one.

Excellent start here, FMS. I know that I reviewed this at the BSC because I saw Ch. 1 there first when I was reposting there. I'll be reading it here from now on.

Very interesting chapter. I like that Giles doesn't trust the council, doesn't like them and doesn't hide it. And the way he made sure that Willow received help and didn't fall under the uncaring hands of the council.
I'm glad you liked it. I always thought that Spike and Giles were more alike than they liked to think. And we all know Giles thinks of the Scoobies as his kids. He would never turn Willow over to the Council.

he's already got his soul or still trying? cos interuptions in spike's soul-getting gig r not wanted. but i like ur fic so far. hpefully u'll keep me glued
If you'll notice, this story is cannon up to "Seeing Red." Spike left for Africa during that episode. Travers implied that the vampire had already requested restoration. Giles just has to play catch-up.

Whoa, the idea of Xander dying as well would put a different slant on Willow's recovery. I'm assuming that Willow was responsible, but I didn't see any details. Season 7 would truly play out differently. I am seriously looking forward to this fiction.
Willow is indeed resposible. No "Yellow Crayon" speech this time, just the knowledge that she killed her friend.

Interesting premise, to bring Giles into this from the beginning of Spike's soul-having. I'm hoping for a more compassionate Giles this time?

I take it that this story will be more straight forward and not such a brain challenge as vanishing point ;)
Not so much with the thinking, but I still hope it's a good story.

Great start! Looks like you've got another really interesting story on your hands, I like the plot. I can't wait to find out what kind of journey you're gonna take Spike and Buffy on this time. :)

i hope the "existence" of the council ceases to exist! if that makes sense...lol...this is an interesting start...like this so far...it's sad that xander's dead, though :(
It'll be interesting. It would have been something to see if M.E. had kept that in though. Could you imagine the kind of torment the "First" could have unleashed on Spike using Xander's form?
