The ending part of this chapter was my favorite, darkish!buffy

Great start so far, been reading on PSP so I couldn't review but eh it's kinky...Possessive Buffy in this chapter was great.

You know I love your fics, JL. You have a way of things twisting around to come back to things. That's why I made sure to say that I still think the writing is great. You know me ... I just can't handle all the up and down emotions sometimes.

Oh and as for the non-canon poke at you in a review that was left by one of your readers ... You're a Misfit, JL. {chuckles} Hmmm ... that must be why you're my sister Misfit. Besides just about every story that is out there can not be considered canon no matter how much you make the characters similar. Face it folks ... if you change the storyline at all ... you aren't canon. You may call it fannon, but that is as close as you can get.

Hmm if I remember the Angel bite correctly he bit her more on the shoulder. The way I say that he bit her artery in the neck is because he wants to weaken her fast and that's what he would do if he did the neck artery.

I've been thinking about it and what really bugs me I guess is that I think Spike is so far out of character it's not even funny.

I mean here is the guy who never breaks for anything. He didn't break for Angelus during the initial 20 years of his unlife, Glory didn't manage to break him and the first didn't either. So now you tell me how it is that Buffy by squezing some nice muscles manage to break him in 5 minutes? That is what is truly bothering me. He is the ultimate rebel never does what anybody wants just on pure need to go against authorothy.

So signing up to be the slayers bitch is something that I can't ever see him doing unless it was his own will. He could loose the fight and even his life but I can't ever see him surendering willingly. To me this is just not in him, never saw him doing that in the show. He would choose death over that.

Hope that this makes sense and that I'm not just coming off as being upset about Spike loosing (which I am of course ;)) but that I feel it's not something he would do if you are doing this in canon.

His claim is there no matter what she says - it's just more on the possession level, than the mate level.

Since he returned hers, though, that's on a mate level.

She's his, period, whether she likes it or not. And this claiming has nothing to do with the ritual. That moment is already past. Buffy's in for a surprise.

Whew! A claim doesn't make the claimee a slave does it? If it does, please send poor Spike here; I'll treat him better than a slayer would. WEG More story please.

I'm just going to hope that things really aren't how they look. I know you have your A/N saying it doesn't, but I'm going to wait for a better review until I read more chapters. I'm kind of bummed right now. Not that you haven't writte well, but I'm just bummed at the outcome because I really think that Spike won. Her rejecting his claim like that would have killed Spike inside William and all. She'd be on a list of all those others who rejected him. This sucks, do you have any idea how fast a human loses life if the artery in the neck is punctured. I think it's five breaths or five seconds. Now that would make Spike the winner by default no way would she be able to fight it, the blood loss would be too fast and too much for her to put up a fight. Somehow I don't think that Spike is a sloppy eater and would allow himself not to hit the artery. Once in it's game over really. So in any case she would just bleed to death really fast if she yanked his fangs out. No other way around it really.

So you really shouldn't have let Spike bite Buffy cause that just makes it non believable really :)

Unless he bit her somewhere other than her neck but that's not the impression I got.

No Spike is the clear winner you need to go back and do this chapter over again :)

That was good!!!! I really like this story, and the more I read, the more I like it. But there is a mistake when Spike takes control, you used through instead of threw. She threw her head. At least in my opinion;)

There is only one word to describe this chapter, HOT. I loved the shifts between the two of them and how Buffy unwittingly drew on and became more in tune with her slayer powers. And with your little note at the beginning I am really looking forward to where you take it from here. And as for her winning this round, she might have been a bitch to him, but in the end all she did was formalize the fact that she already owned him. Please update soon. :)
