Wow.  You made me feel sorry for Angel.  Not sure I got what happened with Illyria.  Guess she decided to move on, but not sure exactly why/how.

The reunification of Buffy and Spike was nice, but a bit too easy... after all, Buffy would have grieved for a whole year - there should be a little nod to that.

 

I just stumbled across this fic. I'm so glad I did. I really enjoyed it. Loved Buffy laying into Angel. I like that you made the human Angel just as selfish and arrogant as the Vampire Angel. The characterization was spot on for everyone.
I also like the little glimpse into the future of Angel's life; with Blue's words about him wasting this life like he did his first one.
Great job. Wonderful ending.

I really loved this, and the ending with Angel, perfect. I like how you wrapped up the fight, let us know what had happened to the survivors, got Buffy and Spike together, and still left things open. Though I would not be upset if you ever decided to add to this. :D
