okay...i hope i'm getting this...so...if the thing is a vampire killer created by the original council...why does it want to kill buffy...unless...spike's talking about his demon, and losing control of it? hmmm....maybe i'm not supposed to get it at this point? :)
Okay...The slave usually obeys the master, that being the Council. The Ukesolrill "belongs" to the Council. Travers saw Buffy as a corruption of the Slayer line...so, since there's a phopescy about a vampire with a soul, and a stubborn Slayer...to quotw Warren, "Two birds,one stone."

Maybe not. But if Buffy and Giles work together they could get this rescue pulled off.

This new information Giles found was very intriguing, and more than a little scary, poor Spike it's so awful he has that thing inside of him. As usual I loved the Spuffy interaction. My heart ached for Spike when he misread Buffy's reasons for not being able to look at him, I enjoyed reading both Spike and Buffy's inner thoughts throughout the chapter. I can't wait to find out what happens when Willow and Giles return. Wonderful chapter.
Yeah, it is scary. Can Spike ever catch a break? Buffy is important here. Maybe more than she knows. Willow and Rupert are bringing back crucial info. Let's hope they get to Devon quickly.

Poor Spike, so afraid of hurting her. Hopefully Giles and Willow will dicover something through the monks to help. Great chapter Please update again soon, sitting on pins and needles here, I'm so worried for them both.
