love the chapter. I am just glad that the chip issue is out in the open. But they still don't seem to get the fact that Buffy is with Spike and there is nothing that they can do about this.

I do love the assertive Buffy and the now chip-less Spike who still would never hurt her or her family.

You know, I really feel kinda badly for the gang. Buffy's gone and changed the rules on them, without any notice. A few days ago, she would've wholeheartedly agreed with any of the things they're saying.
Since they weren't with her on her while she was learning, they've probably got whiplash.

Lovely! Naturally I'm pissed at their bull headed reactions but it is in character. They haven't a clear mind between them! It's like they just can't think beyond "vampire bad, must kill vampire" and actually realize what happened right before their eyes! Yeah, Anya though....a REAL friend in the making, one that allows Buffy to pick and choose for herself. Yup, well written.

Maybe after the non neutered vampire saves their collective butts a few dozen times they'll start to have that moment of clarity. On the show it looked like Xander was getting there just before Spike died.
