well that could have gone a lot worse...he took that very wrong to begin with, but i think he at least understands how she meant it...anothe excellent chapter, waiting for the next with eager anticipation :)
I guess, with Spike, as with most of us, it is the thought that counts.

Good chapter.Update soon.I love that Buffy mashed two words together.I do that sometimes on accident though(Once it was hockey and soccer,it ended up coming out as hocker).

That was a good idea Buffy had, but I can understand why Spike would decline her offer... after all unlike his grandsire Spike would rather dust first before he ever hurt his girl. Loved the chapter!

That's an expression I've never heard before. A cross between "Yipe" and "Wow". Of course, I don't think I've ever had the need for that particular expression before, either.

That was the best way I could think of to discribe it. Buffy's always been a little slow. But, if she does tell him, will he believe her? Hmmmm...:)

very good read, thank you. was an excellent idea buffy, spike should have taken advantage of the blood, even if he was afraid of the effects of a claim.
Maybe...I don't think he would do that. But sometimes we don't do what we should because we want to protect the ones we love, even from ourselves.

Wished that she might have changed his mind even if he'd just bite her and use her powerful blood to help strengthen him. He just started eating again. So excited to see what happens next. Maybe Dawn can get Willow to cast a spell over Spike to help protect him, it's been so long since he's even had a fair fight. Not since fighting for his soul. Thanks for the update, FMS.
He may still. But even in canon Spike never bit her, not even when he was weak and under a powerful influence.

Offered a claim, eh? Well, that definitely would have shaken things up, but it's not the time.....she's offering it as a battle measure, even though she does care, and Spike would only do it for marriage. Binding himself to anyone is sacred. She's still very naive.
Buffy is still very young, and Giles hasn't told her everything she needed to know. But, I don't think he counted on her falling in love with a vampire.
