Welcome back Spike. What Xander did to his parents was sick. Sure they were terrible parents but parents still and Xander owes them atleast a sperm and an ova. That debt he should've paid not by forgiveness but by leaving them alone and forgetting they were ever a part of his life.It's obvious that Xander needs help and if Giles was half as observant as he claims to be he would have gotten him that help when the whole Hyenna incident happenned. As for Buffy, well I don't think she really loves Spike yet. Infact-and please don't kill me fellow spuffy lovers- I don't think she ever even realized that she was in love with him. Not even in Chosen. She loved him it was obvious but she was so lost in Egypt that she never realized it otherwise she would never have left that cave never mind whether he believed her or not.

I like you injection of humor, even at the darkest moments - Buffy forgetting they could DRIVE to Xander's (and still getting half way there before those ifn vehicles could catch her) Anya knowing Angel's driving - and Angel grumbling about it.

Glad to see Spike coming back to himself.

I would have paid money to see Buffy running to the house without thought of getting there in a car. Hopefully now they will all get there and be able to help regain control of this situation. I'm glad Spike realized that Xander has limited power over him, and part of that power comes from what Spike gives him with his fear, but I really hope Xander didn't take time to reload that gun. Seems like this situation helped Spike reclaim part of himself if his last comment is anything to go by

Good, finally some real sembelance of spike showing though, looking foward to the Xander ass beating.

Of course I am not happy about another cliffhanger, but it appears you enjoy them so I have nothing else to say about that. This is a great chapter, because Spike is coming back to himself and he will stand up to Xander on his own which I think is important for his recovery.

Funny middle part, there, with Dawn's description of Angel's driving. Yeah, speed isn't a limitation in that car, with that engine....the only limit is the '60s suspension going around corners, as those were cars built to go very fast in a straight line! But, hey...vampire reflexes...

How typical in today's society to blame others for our ultimate choice! YES Xan was abused and that laid the groundwork...BUT Xan is the one who chose to go down that path! Sounds like he's assigning some blame to his folks for his actions here.
